If you could show that Mormons are actually more likely to take Prozac than people of other faiths, this would be an interesting question. But since I really don't believe this to be the case the question becomes hypothetical.
It is probably true that Mormons expect more of themselves than other people. Mormon women tend to feel they are not measuring up unless they are perfect wives, mothers, and are actively involved in the community. They sometimes feel stressed to have as many children as possible, to maintain a perfectly orderly, clean, and beautiful home. To cook their own food from scratch, to sew all the clothes for the family, to can fruits and vegetables for the coming season. To study the scriptures daily, to be knowledgeable about current events, to read good books, to improve their minds, to be calm and beautiful and wise with their families.
Some folks feel a little overwhelmed by all of what is expected of them. It is good to continue to try to improve and shoot for perfection. It is not good to be overly anxious about it. Some people do have some trouble coping.
In my opinion, those who feel anxious to be as perfect as they can be are still happier than those who are complacent and lazy. At least in the long run.
And by the way, few Mormons I know are on Prozac, and those of us not on Prozac are trying to do their best, and still feel it is great to be a Mormon.

May people who live in this world today, are on anti-depressants! I am! I suffer from depression! It has absolutely nothing to do with faith,or religion!
I have observed many people come on this site and trash other religions, mainly Mormons! Can someone tell me the benefit of this? What comes from it? Do you feel bigger, and better, after you slice ans dice someone else's church?
We used to have a group of low-lives in High School called bullies! They were the jocks who stuffed the bookworms in their lockers! They were the 'special clique of girls, who would start rumors, and ruin the reputations of others, simply on a whim!
It is my humble opinion, that someone who trashes another religion, simply on a whim, is a bully and a scum bag! And those people who do so, are a waste of time, not to mention, a waste of skin! Freedom of speech does not include the right to harm another person, and try to deprive them of what they believe!
So, if you wish to continue trashing, and bashing, know that there are people watching ,and seeing you for the bullies that you really are deep inside!

I believe the statistic is that more anti-depressants are perscribed in Utah per capita, than other states. My personal belief is that LDS people are less likely to "self-medicate" with alcohol or drugs to deal with depression and get it taken care of by doctors instead. Depression, anxiety, bi-polar, are real diseases that effect the brain chemistry and have nothing to do with religion.
