The occlusion may be too high... make an appointment to have it checked. All that needs to be done (if this is the case) is the filling just needs to be adjusted a little bit so it isn't as high...
Best of luck!

It is advisable that you go back and have a check-up again with your dentist. Because in most cases, the pain will only last for a short while, sometimes even within a day or straight-after having the cavity filled. But all of that depends on the size of the cavity being filled. In your case, you mentioned that the cavity is small so the pain should subside for a short while. Have a thorough check-up with your dentist.

No, it shouldn't hurt that long. Occasionally, the dentist will bruise a nerve, and that pain does last 3-4 days. I suspect that's what happened. It's most likely to happen with lower, back of the mouth, anesthesia.
Call the dentist & ask if you think the nerve was bruised, and if so, what to do about it, or if the dentist thinks something else may be going on!

It sounds like the nerve was irritated. It should settle down in a few days to a week. If it doesn't, then call your dentist to see if you can get an appointment to get it looked at.

they will prob numb up your mouth so you wont be able to feel anything. problem is, you cant feel your mouth for like 3 hrs so you wont be able to drink until the feeling comes back. its a little sore after the numbness wares away, but your face doesn't swell or anything. if you do it in the morning you should be ok to party all night =]
