Watch this video of a Fila and look at the picture of my puppy! Could he be a Fila?? Looks almost exactly the same. Anyone agree?

Fila (I found him on youtube, hes not mine):

While there are some similarites, your puppy has shorter ears, shorter legs and fewer facial wrinkles.I think your pup is just a good old fashioned mixed breed, and that is just fine! He's adorable,no matter what he is!

Awww! What an adorable little fella.

As to whether or not he is a Fila Brasileiro, I don't know. I'm not familiar with the breed.

The youtube was very dark, and I couldn't get a good look at that one's face.

Sorry, but your puppy's pic is showing up dark, too. Looking at his body structure, and pix of Filas, I can only say that it's possible.

You may want to do a bit of comparing yourself. Here's the link for a Fila site that has a lot of puppy and dog pix.

Whatever he is, he's a sweetie. He'll provide many years of love to you.

It definitely could be. There may be a little Mastiff in there too. I wouldn't be surprised if your guy is a Fila or Mastiff or any mix of the two.

He could be, but guessing will only get you so far. IMO, puppies are harder to tell, too. That's my own weakness for you.

About the breed uncertainty...
There are genetic tests you can get done - one is $65 and you can get a saliva sample yourself, but it has fewer breeds. Another has to be done at the vet and is more expensive, but can recognize more breeds. I've been thinking about getting it done for my girl, but I'm not sure. I know the feeling though! :)

Here are the websites for the two tests, in case you want to learn more:
