Yeah. I saw that show. I couldn't believe it. I mean, it is one thing to passionately believe in faith (and I admire those who can actual stick with it: even when on public TV) BUT those girls where not spreading love. They where sitting there JUDGING anyone who was not like them. They kinda reminded me of little Nazi soldiers. ***SCARY***

No, I mean she didn't even have to do an episode on this at all, she did this because she truly meant it. Tyra is like the executive producer, she comes up with the idea for the show. If she didn't truly mean it, and if she was being a hypocrite then I don't even see why should would have done the episode at all, there's plenty of hot topics out there. She wasn't bashing people that wear unnatural hair, or anything like that, she was just trying to make a statement for all the young girls out there that DO perm their hair because they think that it fits the European standard of beauty. Not all the people that wear perms, and die their haird, and wear weeves, are trying to do it to "fit it". You know, there are people out there that actually do it because THEY feel more comfortable with themselves, and THEY actually like it, right? So why does Tyra have to be a hypocrite for wearing what SHE bought, and what SHE feels comfortable in, whilst still beleiving that good hair is healthy hair? Her hair is probably healthy you know. She is rich. Also, I think that it only made sense that she wore her hair like that, she usually wears her hair with the topic of her episode anyway. What's the prob here? Like seriously...

I think I saw this one. Wasn't she the woman who, along with her daughters, claimed that 9/11 was punishment to America for being too tolerant of gay people? Such garbage.
I think there's a question in there somewhere...are there really crazy Christians? Absolutely. CNN has just done a really interesting series called "God's Warriors" about extremist Muslims, Jews, and Christians. Also, watch "Jesus Camp" if you really want to see some craziness.
I think they should be more understanding. If one professes to be Christian, they should practice love and tolerence, not hate.

no i didnt watch the show but i guess there are people out there who truly believe they are exactly what God wants them to be, and for some reason feel this give them the right to criticize all who "fall short" of that expectation.
But for them to have that mindset would totally write off the belief that God is understanding and forgiving. Does this lady understand or believe that Only God Can Judge? or did she feel she was blessed with that gift so talk down to anyone who wasn't as angelic as she? LOL i wish i had seen that episode .

The woman does not represent the typical American Christian. When a person claiming to be a follower of Christ is harshly judgmental toward generalized groups of people, the first thing I do is dismiss their words - and I have to admit, I probably question their commitment to the Lord. She might just be a victim of some weird cult.

If you were walking by a burning building and saw people sitting quietly inside would assume they were happy to be in there or that they didn't know the building was on fire?
The time for Tara and all people is NOW. We must get the gospel to as many as possible. Will you let your co-workers go to hell because you must be politically correct, tactfula and polite? wwjd ?
We are not in a popularity contest, the love for our fellow man/woman makes it hard to be quiet, we do everything you can to get them out of the burning house, no matter how ridiculous we look!

i think people throw the term "Christian" around to much now days.. like its a fad or something.. yeah she was crazy i saw that episode.. im not sure how someone like that could be a true believer in Christ. that's not His message at all, and i detest "Christians" like that because they turn more people away thinking that we're a bunch of raving loones. i guess you could put it like we're just like any other religion.. we have our "radicals" though i dont know how you could teach peace and love by condeming people like she was doing. just incase you've never met a true one, though you may be Christian i don't know.. but there are those [like me haha] who really don't condemn people. i have my set of beliefs, and just because you don't believe the same way i do im not gonna be like "oh you're wrong, you're going to hell" i might tell you where i'm comming from as to why i believe the way i do if you ask but i'm not gonna push it on you. Thats not what Jesus taught.. He taught to those that wanted to listen. no discrimination or anything. but yeah she was way off.
sorry i ranted. good luck sweetheart!

Asker, there's "crazy" everybody. I've seen all the possible fruitcakes there are on talk-shows, and I can't imagine how some of them haven't wound up on "America's Most wanted". Some of the most scariest individuals I've seen were people who openly proclaimed their hostility towards any and all religions.

no, didn't see this episode, but i will say as a Christian there are a lot of 'alternative' lifestyles we do not agree with. a Christian will never waver in their belief of God and the way we should live just because the world gets mad about it. this is the time of 'political correctness'. try not to offend anyone, be everyone friend, and don't say they are wrong, or they won't be your friend. unfortunately this is not the teachings of Jesus. Jesus taught there is only one way to have eternal life, and that is just that. now i do not believe in being mean or rude to people based on their sins. i was once in sin. the bible says, in loving kindness have i drawn thee.. i try to live by that. do i believe homosexuality is wrong, yes. do i mistreat you because of it, no. i am nice to them, loving to them, i pray for them, and hope that the God in me shows, and thus draws them nearer to Him.

I did not see that episode, but i don't doubt it. There are so many of those so called "Christians" out there that think all there is to being a christian is to judge others for their sins. If you think about it, Jesus would not be doing that, he accepts everyone, no matter what. All he would do is love us.
