There has been and always will be people against Christians.
It is human nature to be against something that a person doesn't understand or are afraid of. Or if they can't explain the way some people feel Gods presence in their lives, they say it is false. Because they don't believe in God, they don't understand how any one else can. That is not all atheist though. I have seen some comments from atheist that are respectful.

A lot of Christians have shot themselves in the foot by being self- righteous, judgmental, and holier than thou toward non- Christians. We should be the most humble of people, and yet many think that the minute they get saved, that they have now 'arrived' and it is their duty to call down fire on all the unbelievers. It's no wonder non- Christians are fed up with us. Christians have deceived themselves into thinking they are a little better than the next guy. It is said Christians are the worst tippers in restaurants; a non- Christian sound man said that Christian bands are the worst folks to work with, because they seem to think they have special 'privileges', like not needing to clean up after themselves and such. With witnesses like that in the world, I'm not surprised that folks are not turned on by Christianity. We have to start acting like Jesus. Salvation is not a license to live anyway we want to.

Nothing, but from the perspective of someone who values diversity and culture, I am against mass conversions of non-Christians just for the sake of boosting numbers, morale and financial input. I am not against the real missionaries who go to help out those in need, such as the founders of Operation Blessing for disaster relief in Indonesia.

In Christianity you have only one voice to listen to, that of Jesus who is very conditional at that. Christians put Jesus on a pedastal as means to deny spirituality in everyone.
Atleast UFO cults, scientology, and new age are a step in the right direction. You now have fear-driven trying to pull more fear-driven people into a bigger box, albeit with a little bit more freedom. Atleast you have pulled believers up and out to consider that they themselves have perfection within them.
When are people to going to realize that: I AM MY OWN TEACHER and savior. Unless you have achieved enlightenment (the christian version of born-again, is higly watered down.) you will be counted among the living dead. Just study the lives of hundreds and hundreds, if not thousands of sages who are said to have resurrected before Jesus ever came along.

I have nothing against certain christians as individuals, or any religious folk for that matter, some of them are rather nice people, including several friends of mine.
However, I am against the force and imposition of their religious views on the rest of our society.
Am also against having to be subjected to laws influenced by religion, such as the issue of gay marriage, as well as, having an incompetent leader who's based his poor decisions on delusions of an imaginary man talking to him. I find that disturbing.
Other than the intertwining of church and state, as well as, the pressured and insistent "recruiting" approach (in most, not all), I have no problem with christians nor people of any other religion who keep their beliefs personal and do not attempt to shove it up anyone else's a*s. :-)

Being a Christian, I have been ridiculed by many people. I think the fact that these people who dislike Christians just want to find a reason to dislike people. The Crusades might have something to do with it. I'm not sure if it's the fact that they don't like Christians...or that they just might not like you...no offense!

Why do Christians insist on playing the victims when Christianity has victimized people for centuries? Get over yourselves and let people be, maybe then they'll leave you alone.

Jesus told us that they hate the light. In another place we learn that he is the light. In yet another place he tells us that the world hates us, but they hated him before they hated us.
Darkness hates the light. It's the way it is. It natural human nature to be against God. It's the Spirit of God in those who love God that makes it possible for them to love God. Those who hate the light do not have God's grace, neither are they God's children.
They are the children of the Devil, according to Jesus.

I don't like it when people tell me that I am going to hell if I believe in dinosaurs and hang out with gay people. It's weird and creepy. Luckily not all Christians are like that....

I judge people as individuals, not groups. But the religion itself is really messed up.
