I read this morning on teletext news that the mother to one of those robbers (her son was 35!) thought that the police had no reason to shoot her son and she wants a full investigation.
I wondered at the time what this same mother would have thought had her son been the security guard with a gun pushed into his ribs, and if that gun had been fired and killed him instead?
She would then I assume have been baying for the police inquiry as to why her son going about his working day had been gunned down dead by a thug carrying a gun!
I hope this incident is a warning to ALL gun totting thugs on our streets today that the police are there to protect us, and thet they will shoot to kill if necessary!
The police are still reeling from the barborous murder of PC Sharon Beshenivsky, who came upon armed robbers in the line of duty and was brutally gunned down (she was unarmed as most British police officers are)
I would rather have two dead thugs in a mortuary than a serving officer or innocent civillian any day!

No I suspect that the majority of people will be in agreement with you. We must have zero tolerance now before it is too late. Carry a gun and run the risk of being shot. At least we will not have to pay for the robbers trial and time in prison.

The reason the bank robbers got 'done' by the fuzz yesterday, is because the whole thing was managed by the 'Flying Squad' Scotland Yard. This is an intelligence based unit which acts upon information received from within the criminal underworld.
Lets have more of the same please.

"Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword". This is a universal truism that directly relates to the criminals involved. Although two lives were lost, at least those two men were also seen to be armed, and that is not always the case. It sounds like, for once, the police actually managed to get the right guys. Yo! the Plod.

This is the answer to the over crowded prisons, and may be the lesson will now be learnt by the oiks who carry guns and knives. Well done the police and the saving on the court case is also not to be sniffed at.

No good riddance to bad rubbish as the saying goes. And for those people who say but that's against all God's teachings then think about the people they could have killed if their robbery had taken place. No need for the tax payer to fork out as well another bonus.

I do believe that it will effect some people with a propensity to do crime to perhaps change their mind and get a job. For others who don't care, locked up and not threatening me or mine is okay with me. I don't care much for criminals, have no respect for them and little sympathy. Life is hard for everyone. It takes a lot of work just to get by, especially if you do it honestly.

Like you I have no sympathy.
They chose what they were doing that day and they obviously resonded in such a way that the police were forced to shoot. Shooting someone is a last resort.
I would much rather have two dead offenders than one dead INNOCENT bystander.
