Have you ever felt like you've lived in a crucible?

I definately have lived this before although I didn't term it as a 'crucible' at the time. More like God was testing me. I honestly thought that the harder time I had, the more I'd be blessed in the long term by God. This was partially a religious teaching and partially my own mental construct. I went through this period in my later teens, and am now sort of wondering where I am in this 'crucible'- feel lost.

The crucible is the "fire of transformation"
and yes I have experienced this.

Very transformative energetically, releasing the dross of the animal nature.
It was in an alchemical process of purification
Clearing of the body/mind
