Can definately be use as an engagement ring, BUT... you may find it difficult to find a wedding band/ring to match, if you even wanted to have one with that particular style. And every year or so you mat need to get the rodium coating re-done (that's what keeps it nice and white and shiny) - But being 3 bands, it may cost quite a little bit? I'm not sure, ask about it when/if you purchase it
All the best with you desicions.

Well honestly its not the ring that matters.. you know that from what you said. Really all I can say for what to do is just tell them "well yes its cute, but you know it means a lot to me that he could save up the money and support us and pay the bills all at the same time" Then they would realized what they said wasn't right. For me honestly I just want a plain white gold ring. Depending on the style of the engagement ring you can have it be added to your wedding ring [double rings?] That is what I am planning on doing. Just keep remembering how much he went though to do this for you and what it truly means to you and just always know he loves you and that is all that matters. People don't seem to think about things since now in our times the bigger the ring the better. I would rather have money and be better off financially than to have a big wedding /engagement ring. also now that you are better off depending on how your engagement ring is you can get it engraved if its not. I wish you the best of luck for your wedding and marriage, I am sorry people have to make the hurtful comments about it they just don't know what was all going on so they can't appreciate it like you do right now.

Nice ring, my wife had a copy made in just white gold. I would say no, as an engagement ring. Normally an engagement ring is worn next to the wedding band and has a center stone. This may serve as a nice wedding band if you didn't want an engagement ring to go with it, and used something simpler in maybe stainless steel for the ceremony.
This ring is best as a right hand ring.

You just asked this question for the price. You can wear any ring as an engagement ring. It is your preference. My ring is one band with diamonds set on both sides and my 1 1/2 carat cushion cut set in the middle with four prongs. It is wide so I don't need a wedding band. I get many compliments. Good luck and choose what ever you like. :D

Any ring given to you during a proposal is your engagement ring. It can be anything you want it to be. Keep in mind that these types of rings don't go very well with a wedding ring. Also, if you haven't worn this type of ring before, they tend to be a bit bulky and can be uncomfortable for everyday wear. Other than those things, it's a nice ring and if that's the one you want, go for it.

This style is called a Russian wedding ring. The three rings have a meaning. Love, Romance & Marriage. It would be a great engagement ring for the meaning of it.

Of course you can wear any ring you want as an engagement ring; however, I wouldn't choose this one. It's pretty but I see two issues:
1. With how much I'm sure this ring costs, you could buy a car.
2. You can't wear a wedding band with it.

But of course. Anything will work. A lot of people get engaged without a ring. The ring is just a formality.
:) GOOD LUCK. It's beautiful!

Yes, any ring can be. However, it seems this would do for both the engagement and wedding ring, because you can't exactly wear another band with it.
I like the one with yellow gold better, though.
I like when the man chooses the ring, also, it just makes it MUCH more special.

If this is the ring you want, then this is the one you get..
Personally what I would do is wear it as an engagement ring but then I would have it blessed and worn as a wedding band..
