i bought a new car. it had a scratch. dealer said they would fix it. I brought it back, and they fixed it but it took 3 hours of buffing and repolishing. In process, i found a small 1/2 inch dent on the roof, they said they would fix that too. I feel like i bought 'damaged goods', and they should give me a new car. However, dealer says "all new cars have some blemishes, and we will fix it". The scratch they fixed looks ok, but not perfect. I feel like i've been duped.

No where in the United States is there a law that lets a customer take a vehicle back with in 72 hours. Once the customer takes delivery, it is their car unless the dealership grants the return.

In your situation, the dealership is doing more than most would these days. Many vehicles will get small scratches and blemishes while sitting on the sales lot. The ones they put in the showroom get the most blemishes because people get in, get out, and even lean on the car.

Unfortunately, unless the dealership is willing to let you return the car, there is nothing you can do. Atleast the dealership is repairing the scratches. Good Luck!

You have got to STOP calling men and women earlier than something occurs. You didn't recognize there was once any harm from the transfer you made. It occurs, possibly it did not occur, who is aware of. The different cars motive force has your tag quantity and if that they had harm and desired to get it constant they are going to have their coverage corporation touch you at the moment. Until then STOP and do not anything to peer what occurs. Calling the coverage corporation places a realize of their method that you just had an coincidence, and with the intention to paintings in opposition to you. Nothing might come of this entire occasion that's NO BIG DEAL. If so then you definately shot your self on your possess foot by means of notifying the coverage corporation and getting a word on your list, whilst it would possibly not had been wanted.

Depending on the state adn the timing you may be able to, but it sounds like it sbeyond the normal 72 hours or so deal.

If it's brand new and these were exisitng problems the dealer should repair them, but probably is not required to do so. dent is not a problem with "material or workmanship".

If the cars is less than 72 hours old check with your state you can probably take it back simply under "buyers remorse" laws with no reaon needing to be given other than I changed my mind.

Hate to tell you this, but- "You bought it". But look on the bright side; your complaints are cosmetic. They COULD have been mechanical- & then you'd have a "lemon" to complain about!!! So it COULD have been a LOT worse.
