Absolutely.
One definition that I like: Spirituality is living ones life from the realization that the body/mind/ego personality we have been taught to identify with is just the tip of our iceberg, our little head sticking through the window of the senses into this world, whereas our true body is the universe. It is recognizing that our perceived world is mostly an illusion, a shared dream we are asleep in, and that the goal of life is to awake to our real Self which is vast and multidimensional--already intimately connected with all of creation, with a twin shadow self that is already scripted, mostly primitive, and hidden from us, but that this whole Self is already

You have spelt out a very good thought and full marks for that.
Yes, the spirituality has very little to do with religions. Spirituality is a way of self-upliftment. A religion is just a beginning step. Spirituality makes one self analytical. He or she is able to derive his own solutions.
If I mention Gita, a purely spiritual work, it tells u how to behave in confusing situations.
I will also mention Brahma-kumaris, an institute that spreads spirituality & according to me, are the best teachers round the world. They started from India & now have their centres in many countries of the world. UNO has also recognized them. Many schools like Yoga, art of living, mind-tuning are different ways of spirituality without religions.

That is the best kind of spirituality is personal and not based on organized religion. You don't hear of terrorists or criminals that just have a personal spirituality. Seek the truth on your own.

sure, purely look at each and all the church homes who seek for out participants for no different objective yet to tell them their existence is a ruin through fact they do no longer tithe suitable. various the religious leaders take issues out of context for his or her own income, for that reason faith has continually been (on account that Christ turn over the tables interior the temple) a money making enterprise. Spirituality is the actual connect you or I or whoever has with God or the luxurious Being. What maximum human beings fail to work out is that the could have that touch with their God devoid of dealing with a church, pastor, priest, etc... for that reason becoming the carry faith has upon human beings. All ideals are think to be a "way of existence" no longer a "shackle and chain to a enterprise, faith, or church".

Yes I am not religious but this is one of my favourite sayings:
We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

Religion is just a way of connecting with others who do the same thing, or in its worst form a way of trying to let someone else do it for you!

Yea!
The question is what kind.
Anything can be a religion, if you worship it. Money is a religion- for some. For others it is something else. Worshiping the one true God is the only true religion but there are a lot of false ones.
