I think so...if a kid shoots you, you're just as dead as if an adult had shot you. There should be serious consequences for serious crimes.

Many of them are. The juvenile is housed in a juvenile detention center until they reach the age to be incarcerated in state penitentiaries.
It also depends on the age of the juvenile.

The mind of a juvenile is not equivalent to an adult. They are immature in their thinking. They do not process the consequences.
Sending these young juveniles to prison will not benefit them in anyway, it will only make them harder because of the gang violence.
I recall several years ago the State of Florida, I believe tried an young man who was only 12 years old. He was in juv for a while and then sent to another prison. This young man came out with a attitude and he ended up back in prison.
As far as I'm concern, the Prosecutor wasn't doing his job. The only thing he cared about was to make a name for himself. He should have handle this 12 year old in a different manner.

Yes they should! They need a harsh punishment to make them think about what they did.

i think of the age for "minor" might desire to get replaced, yet i do no longer think of that each and one and all minors who dedicate violent crimes might desire to be tried as adults. After having examine real bills of babies who've finished horrendous issues, the thoughts are plenty greater complicated than you may think of. i do no longer think of it is precise to attempt ALL minors as adults subsequently. I do, even inspite of the undeniable fact that, think of the age might desire to be diminished so as that babies who dedicate violent crimes might desire to be tried as adults. they generally use the protection of the present regulation to dedicate the crimes.

if you want to lower the age of adulthood fine.
the argument doesnt make sense on any level, except an emotional one. think of all the rediculous situations kids could find themselves in if this continues
