six year old male, just adopted, was homless until he was 1, been in a shelter for 5 years, because of his size (a little bigger than a Jack Russel Terrier), and has never been given a name. Friendly as all Hell, too.

I am leaning toward calling him "Candlejack" from the Freakazoid cartoon. He was a villian that would kidnap you if you said his name.

What do you think I should call him?

Give your cat a name that is something different and as special as he is! But most of all, give him a good home, and lots of love! Good luck!

i SO agree with the girl who said to name your cat after the cartoon character. Chandlejack is a cute name! And you could even use Jack for short if you wanted to. Haha, the name Dexter for a cat is so cute! If i ever have another cat i am SO going to name him Dexter!! ♥

if you choose a name, choose one that fits the personality. i have had 7 house cats in 15yrs. we had a lucky because she was found almost dead on the road(Lucky she wasn't road kill, buzzard bait, etc.), i have LBC (little black cat), CA pretty boy Floyd(non registered tom maine coon), Ivy Mae the Fuzz, Zane Gray, Khali Moon Bear(non reg Jap. Bobtail cross), Dragon Moon, we had Little Kitty, Mom has a black bob named Ted D Bear, another bob thumper jean, her daughter Khan(Shera Khan), Shirper Dae, Tennessee, Tuxedo Butterfly(fly)...too many to list. my friend has a Boo, Tommy Thunder Paws....
pick a name that fits the personality and what they come to.

I named my cat Harvard.
My other "creative" names have included, Fatty, MeowMeowKitty (MMK - mmkay), and Green Tea.

I would go with Candlejack. It is almost as weird as my names, almost!

why not just CJ or Jack both are cute and HE won't care as long as you love him.

I have a cat named "Ditto" because as a kitten he was identical to my older cat (unrelated) . SO why not.
Cats can live to their twenties, call him something you will love.
