Don't stop crying...if you bottle it up it'll turn into a panic attack or anger. I haven't had a good cry in years and years. I think I'm afraid something bad will happen if I cry. (at least I realize that's superstitious...) You don't want to get "frozen emotions". I kinda envy you. Don't meditate too deeply. You kinda remind me of how I used to be...I'd cry at everything..bad or good. Boy do I wish for those days now. Sounds to me like you've got a "Life". I know you're overly emotional. I think I'd try a lot of groups first before I'd start on medication if I were you. Also, exercise a lot. Maybe get massages. Maybe you just need somebody to hold you a long time and let you cry it out. (think there's a song about that) Sometimes, if you find the right one..church helps. But sit in the back..or the cry room..in case you need to cry. Maybe you need to get a roommate...or a dog. Alone???No wonder you're depressed and crying !!!!

I often feel that doctors prescribe medication too quickly a lot of times. However, if you've tried on your own and you've gone to a psychologist to solve your difficulties and had little or no results, I think you should give medication a try. I was thinking that maybe you should get a blood test and a physical just to make sure that you're physically all right. Then talk to your doctor about trying one medication to help ease your symptoms.
My step-son was having similar symptoms and went through in-patient and then out-patient counseling, and he was also prescribed a medication (I'm sorry I don't know the name of it). It helped him so very much.
I hope you can get the help you seek and find the relief you need. Don't give up. We're cheering for you! :) :)

When you are depressed, you feel alone and you feel awful about yourself. You feel worthless, helpless, and hopeless.
I am not sure what the theoretical orientation of your therapist is, but maybe you need a different therapist. Interpersonal approaches, as well as cognitive behavioral approaches, have data to support their efficacy.
In addition, maybe you do need a medication. We stigmatize ourselves for needing medication because we are "weak." Depression is a disorder that has a strong hereditary component. Additionally, if we treat cancer with medication, diabetes with mediation, why not depression?
Give yourself a break. If you decide you need medicine, then maybe it is time to try.
Good luck and don't give up.

If you're talking to your psychologist why don't' you ask him what he/she suggests? If the doctor told you that you had say arthritis and that you needed to take medication so that you would be able to function on a daily basis would you?? What's the difference?? An illness is an illness the only difference is what part of your body is involved. If it is getting to the point were it's hard for you to function on a daily basis what options do you have? I don't' get why people are so reluctant to take care of themselves. Yes medications have side affects but does having your life out of control any better??

I was where you are right now. I hope things go better for you then they did for me. *big hug*.
We hope for a silver lining in the journey we call life. We don't always get that. I have been up and down and sometimes you feel like you will never go up again, or when you go up, you go further down.
Have faith and keep trying.
god bless,
Ali

well bad luck comes to dabblers who are apart of the monothestic religion and practice witch craft. and what is whats causing your emotions? are you depressed? if so why. take the time to discover why you are depressed and try to find out who you are. everyone has a purpose and sometimes to get over doubt you need to find your self worth
