Ok so I am 28 with two children. I have not had an actual boyfriend since I was 15. (if that is what you want to call it) But here is my deal I am completely in love with my son's father. He is the best man that I have ever known but he only see's me as a good friend. We weren't dating or anything when I got pregnate with my son it was well pretty much a one night stand but in the past 3 years we have come to know each other very well. His family refers to me as his wife and I get along with them very well. He doesn't correct anyone when they call me his wife or girlfriend but he doesn't act like a boyfriend or anything with me. I also have a 13 year old daughter who adores him and want him as a father and he treats her like he is her father. Help I don't know what to do? Put my life on hold until he bucks up and wants to be with me or move on and say sorry you had your chance.

Is he using you as a pit-stop?
If not, consider inviting him for a private and candid conversation away from the kids.
Tell him about how you feel about being called his wife by everyone including his family. Ask him about his true feelings for you. Say that you two have a lot of common ground together. In his opinion, doesn't this have all the apsects of a good marriage? Ask him to think about it.
The best -- and longest -- marriages are between best friends.
If you get a real NO... then move on and find someone who loves you.

Come right out and tell him your feelings. If he isn't interested, move on. Waiting can make you pass up on some really nice guys.

Just tell him... even if he doesnt feel the same, he will know where you stand, and things can change over time... but not telling him could be the biggest mistake
