Hey man, their faith in science is really significant. Our faith in God requires much less empirical evidence, not available to us, than theirs which requires only empirical evidence which they don't have. So whose beliefs are more mockable, ours in God or theirs in science? Atheists say they require proof of God. I require proof of evolution! Show me the bones, or better yet, animals changing species! I want to see a fruit fly turn into a horse!
Sadly, that won't happen... *tear*

Scientific processes can be demonstrated any where and any time and do not require support of any faith. While you are entitled to your views but since these are posted here, they are open to comments by others. When we turn a logic on it;s own head,it either becomes a reversed logic or a perversion.Your comments don't nullify or validate anything and stop just at being sarcastic.Wish you had the know how or conviction to take them to some logical conclusion.Yes,atheists are living in a denial but that denial is based on a realization of absurdity of an idea and awakening that followed it.It's not a denial of reality but acceptance of an absurdity. The search is still ON and if by any chance,an existence of a God is ever proved.,atheists shall be the first to accept it than any followers of other religions who may refuse to accept that entity as their own God.Rationality has more common meeting space than all the faiths(religions)put together.

Okay, I believe in a higher power. I am a Christian. Now you must also ask the question - If you believe in God, who created him? Who created the person who created God? Who started all of this before God? That is what scientists are trying to really answer. Many scientists believe in a greater power. Einstein did, so did James Talmage, the person Einstein called the smartest person he knew.
I am not one to answer that question because I do know that I am here on a computer answering your question and I do not know how the first life started or where? Many religions teach there is no beginning and not end? We base all our lives on a beginning and an end, so it is not our nature to believe that theory either?
I am not sure I believe Darwin's theory, but I do admit that my knowlege and understanding is limited to what I have learned in my neighborhood and restricted to this planet. Just becuse we don't know, does not mean it does not exist or that there is an answer that we do not know about at this time. That is why I choose to have faith and many of us do.
Not sure this was an answer, but it certainly gives you something to think about?

No athiests are not living in denial and if you knew anything about Chemisty you would know that elements are attracted to each other because they are made up of positive and negative components so it its entirely plausible that over a LOOOOOONG period of time the building blocks of life could assemble themselves. And the Big Bang? Well maybe if you weren't such a closed minded fool who can't pick up any book that doesn't agree with your mode of thinking then you'd also realize that the Big Bang is entirely plausible as well. It didn't happen at random like you seem to think. If scientists are right then it was really the only way to go. The universe in its primordial state was of enourmous density and temperature and all that heat was constantly trying to expand which finally resulted in the rapid expanding of the Big Bang. Why don't you stop undermining those that don't agree with you, did you ever stop to think that Atheists think the bible is just as ridiculous as scientific theory is to people like you?

There are currently MANY *scientific theories* as to how life originated on this planet (none of them being godidit). As for evolution after life started....well...if you don't know the science and don't know the evidence, then most likely it's simply because you don't want to know, you are looking for the criticisms of the evidence on AIG websites, or you are waiting for an astrophysicist to show up at your door with a pregnant monkey and have it give birth to something resembling you, since that's apparently what most IDers consider the only form of evidence.

The alternative is even more bizarre.
Just accept that the human race is at an early stage of development and has a long way to go in terms of scientific knowledge.
Ignorance is no excuse for inventing gods and demons to fill in the gaps.

dude stop bashing, you are not going to convert anyone. I am christian, but this does not make you look smart, it makes you look ignorant and biased against atheism only for the sake of bashing. The evolutionary theory does not conflict with christianity. The bible only says we WERE, created, not HOW we were created. for all we know, God could have created us thru evolution, why do you automatically rule this out? if you make the evolution theory sound so stupid, you are just as ignorant as the atheists who described God as a sky fairy and creating everything by snapping His fingers and poofing and everything happening. Have a nice day
as for the person who was trying to prove the bible illogical, i will explain to you in the hopes that you will see faults in your arguments.
Technology had nothing to do with how many animals can be brought on board. all you need is enough space, enough food,
From what we see from earth, the sun revolves around the earth
Snakes can talk- prove that snake back then cannot talk. survival of the fittest, correct? maybe the talking snake was not fit to survive, like the dinosaurs
sex with relatives does NOT lead to deformities as you probably think of it, as mutating and growing extra appendages and stuff. mentally is a different story, but lets leave the mathmatical probability of whatever percentage chance that the kids may be retarted to those back then, shall we?

Wow, coming from someone who believes there is an invisible guy in hyperspace, full of human emotions like love and rage, and having such a big ego, he demands praise for a pathetic 6 days work, where he didn't even get the order of his creation right based on the common sense a 7 year old would have eg light, photosynthesis etc

Every good Catholic also believes this.
God and amino acids assembling to form protein are not opposites.
Both science and God are real. But if you need to tear down the complex to keep your faith going one more day I suggest you might have a bigger problem.

I do believe athiests believe what they say, but I also believe they are very sadly mistaken, tragically so. In denial...I don't know if that's what I would call it, but I do think they are headed for big trouble.
If they were in denial, that would mean, somewhere deep in their minds, they have considered the possibility of God. In that sense, yes, suppose there are many athiests who are in deep denial.
In either case, I pray for them both.

1: Yes - I am denying that any god is real.
2: You roughly have it right except that it has nothing to do with magic. Magic is more applicable to religion. Yes, we honestly believe in the Big Bang and evolution and natural causes. We definitely do NOT accept that there is a supernatural entity out there.
If I was forced to believe in a non-existent entity, I'd go for Superman. He is just as credible as any god.
To timekiller below - your 'logic' is illogical. Just because I don't believe in Santa Claus then you maintain that I must believe in something else. Neither one has anything to do with the other. This is generally referred to as being 'Very Silly'.
Atheism is simply the denial of all gods. It is not a religion in itself. To consider it so is truly infantile.
