Please, don't drop out.. things may seem now to be stressed, and may well be.. But, an unfinished life of regret in an area of it, is worse.. trust me. It is much easier at this time to go through school and finish, than later if you decided to do so.
When you say "free". free from what?
responsibilities, tests, teachers, problems, gossips?..
Hate to tell you , but, that doesn't end necessarily because one drops out of school.. ..
Adults have those problems too..
yep..
there are days i want to find a hole and hide..
Disneyland ends up being my solace.. my re centering so to speak place.
and, i'm 57..
High School was pure H E double hockey sticks for me..
but, i weathered through it.. I found other interests outside in volunteering that gave me a sense of who i really wanted to be. Dream your dreams in reality.. nothing is impossible..
I have turned a lot of garbage in my life around.. You are young and have a whole life ahead of you..
don't waste opportunities, that may only come around once.. Education opens those doors.. You don't want one shut because they asked if you graduated and your answer is "no".. that is the worst..
When in High School , i know , it seems it will never end.. trust me, the year after you do graduate, you 'll probably wish you were back there again.. many do..
good luck to you.. you'll make a wise choice..

please don't drop out, I had a friend who dropped out and I tell about what happened to her in (sources)

When did you start high school? If it was just recently, you really have to put time into it before you can get used to it.

Money-wise, there are many jobs you can get once you have graduated high school that you CAN NOT get without that diploma. If you ever want a job that is fulfilling and a job where someone can't walk in and replace you, take high school and then go to a technical school or do training to be a pharmacy assistant or something.

You can meet a lot of interesting people in high school, if there are people in your classes with trouble, work with them, go to their house or invite them over and work and have snacks, do something fun when it's over... and if you have problems figure out what questions to ask the teacher

Get involved in a high school activity. It seems stressful but you will have more fun and learn something outside of boring school stuff.

If you drop out how will you support yourself? What kind of job will you be able to get that will allow you to have all of the things that teens want? CD's ipod's cell phones, clothes, money to hang out with your friends? Do you really think that your parents will give you the money for those things if you drop out of school? I wouldn't and I have a 15 year old daughter. I know that school is tough it can be a real pain in the neck but if you give up now what will you have? I had a learning disability before they really understood what they were or how to deal with them and I made it through. My daughter is a learning disabled child and high school can be rough for her ( she's taking all the same classes that everyone else is) but I tell her that if she gives up when she's a teen what will happen if things get rough when she has a family and others are depending on her? It' s you life but before you give up on yourself if you're having trouble do the mature thing and get some help that may help you to understand things and give you time for yourself. You might also be doing to many extra curricular activities. You have to pace yourself, if you're doing it because you think that colleges will look at you better not if they think you can't manage your time and that you over extend yourself.

Dont drop out of high school. Your whole life is ahead of you. High School is stressful, yes, but, that doesn't mean you should drop out. This is only the easy part, College aint no walk on the beach.
Try figuring out a schedule, to where you can relax and you can do work.
Dont worry, the years will get better. Just stay in school.

Do not drop out. A high school diploma is very important. Just by having that, you're already qualifying for a better paying job than if you just dropped out now. Besides, high school isn't bad at all. Well, I don't know how your schools are, but from what I've seen NY schools are among the most strict school systems in the US. But high school is nothing compared to college, so you better toughen up now!

Why in the world do you think you'll be "free" if you drop out of school???? That's when you have to go to work and support yourself and worry about bills etc etc etc etc. School is where you go to try to help you to prepare for all that. Take advantage of it. Don't just study to make good grades or passing grades...study to LEARN. The more you learn...the better you'll do when the time comes for you to work. If you're planning on just getting married and letting somebody else support you...believe me...you'll regret not having an education to fall back on. Your husband could die...or get disabled...or you could get a divorce. Think how you'll feel without even a high school diploma. Or are you going to take the GED? You'll have to grow up too fast. For goodness sake...for YOUR sake...try to enjoy this time. Don't rush life. Get involved in school...don't just sit there. Hope you make the right decision.

While schools today mostly stink, it would probably pay to stay in. I would not blame anyone who drops out, though, if you can muster some real direction on your own, or have a strong entrepreneurial spirit. School is mostly a waste of time, unless you're aiming to be a job slave where a diploma is important.

i've been thinking about doing the same. I just can't handle homework, studying, tests, switching back and forth between my parent's, constantly moving, and problems at home all at the same time. It's probably not a good idea, though. Despite how much easier life would be without it

You should do what is best for you. Of course, what defines "best for you" needs to take into account what being a high school dropout will mean years down the road. And then there's creating the mindset that is better to run away than face problems.

Millions of other kids your age put their nose to the grindstone and finished it out. But, hey, it's your life.

Do NOT drop out. If you do the extra time of leisure you get now will cost you tenfold once you get a job suitable for a dropout; that is, one where you break your back making minimum wage.
