my mom has been acting funny lately..now shes always watching me and stuff...i have this website where i customize sneakers and sell them(im a sneaker freak)..she never knew about this and i dont know how she found out but im guessing it was my sister.now she says i cant do it anymore..i dont know why shes acting like this though..im getting good money for doing this..my sneakers sell for at least $200 a pair and its not like i go around splurging..i put most of my money away so i dont see what the problem is..and i pay for the supplies myself now and i even buy my clothes and some clothes for my brothers and my sister so thats less money that she has to spend...should i just keep makeing sneakers since im getting good money off of doing it??

You are doing something that is not dangerous, not illegal and is enterprising and profitable. Why exactly does she not want you do do it? Does she have pudding for brains or something?

Talk to her as an adult. Get her to explain her objections (presumably something to do with school?) and then you explain to her how you are already dealing with them.

A source of income like that can help put you through college. Has she thought of that?

Ask her why she is against you selling your customised sneakers. This is one thing about parents sometimes the get worked up about unreasonable stuff.

Lay out why you don't want to stop this little venture of yours and ask her to tell you why she doesn't like carrying on. If she has an unreasonable answer, make her see the situation from your perspective.

But i think your mom is getting worked up because you having this venture a bringing in money is making her feel that she is not providing enough for you as a mom to the point that you have to bring in money yourself. Basically making her feel under-appreciated.

What a wonderful, creative idea!
Would that all young people were so enterprising!
Make sure you are keeping records of expenses and income.
Write an essay about it... make it into a business class project. This is highly educational!
I cannot see why your mother would be against this!

Where is your dad in this picture? Would he discourage this enterprise? I doubt it!

I sure hope you pay taxes on your little company.

Never heard of a healthy family run like yours. Does your mom have a mental problem? Time for your dad to step in and stop being a big baby.

You should definitely keep doing that. If it is bringing in cash, then why stop? Your mom is probably upset that you are buying your siblings stuff. That is a mom's job. She probably feels like she is not needed.

Ask her why?
Explain what you do and show her ask if she wants to design one?
She probably doesn't know what you do and thinks that you are doing something else.
