My favorite has to be Pistachio ice cream. It's been that since I can remember. I know it's a "grown up" ice cream...but still..I love the nuts.
Here's a recipe I found online if you want to try making it. If not, go and treat yourself at Baskin Robins. I think they have the best pistachio ice cream. or Laura Secord. :D
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup milk
1 1/4 cup full fat cream
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup fine sugar
1 pinch salt
2 tablespoons iced water
1/2 cup finely chopped pistachios
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
or
4 whole cardomom pods
Directions:
Slowly heat milk with pistachios and cardamon in a heavy-based saucepan. When almost boiling, remove pan from heat and cover and leave to infuse for about 20 minutes. Beat the egg yolks, sugar and salt until the mixture is very pale and whisk leaves a trail. Slowly add the strained warm milk mixture, whisking all the time. Return mixture to the pan and cook over a very low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until custard is thick enough to coat back of spoon. Remove from heat to a bowl and chill until very cold. Whip the cream with the iced water until it forms soft peaks. Combine with the chilled custard and freeze in ice cream maker. Spoon into individual moulds if wished.

I also really like green tea ice cream (but I can only seem to find it at Thai restaurants and never in stores)
Though the best ice cream I ever had was a lemon custard from this little ice cream place in Beaufort, SC...

BLUEBELL makes the best ice cream, ever! sorry to everyone who doesn't have the privilege of living in Texas to get it! century sundae is good... but in general i love vanilla with chocolate swirl.
