When the first man, Adam, deliberately disobeyed God’s command, He said to him: “In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis 3:19) Where was Adam before Jehovah created him from the dust? Why, he was nowhere! He simply did not exist. So when Jehovah God said that Adam would “return to the ground,” he meant that Adam would die and return to the elements in the ground. Adam would not cross over to the spirit realm. At death Adam would once again be nonexistent. His punishment was death, absence of life, not a transfer to another realm. This would include Eve also
Before God formed him from the dust of the ground and gave him life, Adam did not exist. When he died, he returned to that state. His punishment was death, not a transfer to another realm. What, then, happened to his soul? Since in the Bible the word “soul” often simply refers to a person, when we say that Adam died, we are saying that the soul named Adam died. This might sound unusual to a person who believes in the immortality of the soul. However, the Bible states: “The soul that is sinning, it itself will die.” (Ezekiel 18:4) Leviticus 21:1 speaks of “a deceased soul” (a “corpse,” The Jerusalem Bible). And Nazirites were told not to come near “any dead soul” (“a dead body,” Lamsa). Numbers 6:6.
What about others who have died? The condition of the dead is made clear at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, where we read: “The dead know nothing, There is no pursuit, no plan, no knowledge or intelligence, within the grave.” (Moffatt) Death, therefore, is a state of nonexistence. The psalmist wrote that when a person dies, “his spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish.” Psalm 146:4.
Clearly, the dead do not exist. They cannot know anything. They cannot see you, hear you, or talk to you. They can neither help you nor harm you.

The Bible does not specifically tell us whether Adam and Eve were saved. Adam and Eve were the only two human beings who knew about God before they became tainted with sin. As a result, they likely still knew God better after their Fall than any of us do today. Adam and Eve most definitely believed in and depended God. God continued to talk with Adam and Eve and provide for them after the Fall. Adam and Eve knew of God’s promise that He would provide a Savior (Genesis 3:15). God made a garments of skin for Adam and Eve after the Fall (Genesis 3:21). Many scholars understand this as the first animal sacrifice, foreshadowing the eventual death of Christ on the cross for the sins of the world. As a result of these facts, it would seem that Adam and Eve were "saved" and did indeed go to Heaven / Paradise when they died.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Adam & Eve were put on earth.
Imagine, if Adam & Eve had never sinned... We would not be sinners today. Our world would still be perfect. There would be no sickness or death or hate... We suffer today because of them. Do you think after banishing them, God decided to reward them with a life in heaven?

Yes. Adam and Eve did go to heaven. They followed all of God's instructions on how to make an offering to Him an how to make a sacrifice which forshadowed Christ's coming. They went to a place called paradise. Or Abraham's bosom. When Christ died and He was suppose to be in His tomb but wasn't, He was in a real place called paradise. When He was on the cross next to the thief, the thief beleived Christ and had faith and Christ told him that he would be in paradise with Him that day. (after their deaths). At that time the place of paradise wasn't yet in heaven where we all think it was. It is there now, but back then before Christ's death everyone who lived in faith in the coming Messiah, and followed the Laws of the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, went to be in a waiting place where it is also called Abraham's bosom. They saw Jesus, heard His testimony of who He was, and then they were able to be in Heaven where paradise is now. Jesus had to wait a bit, before going while He was here for 40 days and then He ascended. Paradise was not purgatory, or a place of hellish things even though it was right across from the ones who did not believe and were kept away from the side of paradise. They could see each other far away but one could not go to the other side. It was separated with a huge seperation. Read the story of the rich man and the poor man. It descirbes the location. It is considered to be in Hades or Hell, a spiritual place of wait. Now when we die, we go to be with the Lord immediately to heaven where paradise is.

Adam and Eve were never given the option of going to heaven. Their choice was either to obey God and live eternally on a paradise earth or to disobey him and die. Sadly, they chose disobedience and therefore returned to the “dust” of the ground. It was never God’s purpose for the human family in general to die and to populate heaven via the grave. God created myriads of angels to live in heaven; these spirit creatures are not humans who are deceased and who have been resurrected to life in heaven.

SURE they did...they and all the rest of the deceased people are probably getting a good laugh watching the rest of us, their 'descendants', knock heads with one another! I seem to remember something about a 'cloud' of witnesses...oh, yes, here it is:
