How long ago was the surgery? It sounds like she might be in pain. I'd give the vet a call in the morning...

She has probably stopped being "really cuddly" because she was in heat before she was spayed. When a female is in heat, she will head-butt, rub and roll. It seems like affection, but it's just nature taking its course.
As far as her growling, keep in mind that a spay is a major abdominal surgery. She is likely to be sore for a while after her surgery. Depending on how long ago she was spayed, this may be normal, or she may be having complications.
Call your vet who spayed her and report what is going on. Ask if pain medications were used or would be in order. Also ask to be shown how to properly lift her. Most cats are horribly tolerant of anything we want to do to them, but there are right and wrong ways to lift them. Lifting them properly gives them a sense of security. Lifting them improperly can be uncomfortable, even painful, and can lead to them not trusting you.

that's been below 2 weeks so provide her time to get returned to ordinary. My lady has continuously been candy and cuddly in the previous and after she became spayed. You kitty could be mad considering you made her harm, yet she ought to recover from it. proceed to puppy and consult together with her, according to danger provide her particular cat treats, and she or he could come around. i've got had cats who without warning replaced character for no obvious reason. Cats could be strange.

Just be patient with her and don't be picking her up. Cats don't like to be picked up a lot anyway. She's still probably sore in her belly and is trying to tell you that. If in doubt, call her doctor and consult someone at his office.

she could be sore somewhere. how long ago since her surgery? How old is she? If she is young she might just be deciding now that she doesn't like being picked up, lots of cats don't really like it. They like to be in control of where they are, my cat I swear doesn't like me to mess her hair, she always starts grooming after being held.

She may be in pain, or she may have some trust issues. Just be patient with her. Don't pick her up, but pet her gently when you can and speak softly and lovingly to her.
