Evolution has many flaws in it and an increasing number of scientists are actually against it. It seems as though the more scientists learn about life and the natural world the more they turn to creationism.
I heard about this program coming up Sept. 28 called "Out of Thin Air" that discusses these issues (see www.thinairevent.com). I can't wait to see what they'll say.

No, the idea of "Creation" will sound as "out there" as the Earth being flat. The same as all the other nonsense that the religious have insisted upon for centuries until they can't argue anymore. (At which point they change their minds about everyone going to Hell for believing it and stop imprisoning and killing people for teaching it, and try to pretend that it was really "no big deal" to begin with.)
Evolution will be considered as routine as the knowledge that the SUN is the center or the Universe, not the Earth. (Which, again, the church took over 300 YEARS to stop denying and fighting and imprisoning those who taught it before they gave in and had to admit was true.)

Well, I think the idea of creationism is "out" there just as the Earth being flat was back in the same time period they both were believed.

I think a close reading of the creation myth by more people would lead to a massive outbreak of atheism.
Mikearion would rather believe that some mystical being that you can't see, touch, feel, smell, or hear, that has been around for ever, is all-powerful, yet still cares for each and every living person on the puny rock called "Earth", created everything... And this being came from where??? Talk about "magic".

Evolution was as out there as a flat earth - a hundred and fifty years ago. It's become somewhat more accepted since then.

Evolution is a well founded, yet developing scientific theory accepted by those who study the natural world as an explanation for the diversity of life on Earth.
Creation is a fairy tale many adults still believe in. It explains nothing and is based solely on fantastical absurdity.

I think in about a hundred years, tops, people will think that the idea of a magical creator making the whole universe in six days will seem "out there". And they'll laugh at the die-hard creationists, just like we laugh at the flat-earthers.

Creationism is funnier than the idea that the earth is flat.

There isnt any evidence to prove the creation story ( and NO...the bible isnt proof ) But the evidence for evolution is also flawed ( missing links and all ) Im guessing that the truth lies somewhere in between.......Like maybe we were evolving from the apes; but then ALIENS came and through genetic manipulation changed us into Modern Man.....
