Hello, I drink almost a 24 packof Mountain Dew a day and would do ANYTHING for Mountain Dew...I collect everything that has to do with Mountain Dew, I get headachs and I get very cranky when I don't have it...I get sick after a long period of not having it....I make a trip to the store EVERY day to get Mountain Dew, even if I already have Mountain Dew at my house...I have mountain dew everywhere, in my car (although sometimes it gets pretty warm) in my garage, in my house...I got my DOG to love Mountain Dew, to the point that when you open one up, he is following you the whole time you have it with you....I have been drinking it since about 6-7 from what my mom has told me (I can't think that far back) and I am 21 now. It is amazing that Mountain Dew can be as addictive as Cigarettes, Coffee and Beer, anybody else go through this? Please answer.

I drink 48 cans a day!!!, I drink it so much that it gave me kidney stones!!!.........I'm so addicted that when I run out and had no more money, I found an empty bottle,cut it in half,and licked the inside of the bottle.............so you see I am the true Mountain Dew king!!!............I rule!!!!.

Not an addict but know where the original came from. During Barry Goldwater's presidential run in 1964, a soft drink was invented and part of the label was the atomic numbers for gold and water....AU H2O. It was to promo his presidential bid which he lost. About 6 months later, the same product came out as Mountain Dew and the original bottles had a picture of a mountain " Hill-billy" with a Kentucky rifle on the label. Saying was " Yahoo, Mountain Dew" Mountain dew being an old slang term for moonshine.

My husband loves Mountain Dew. He would drink a 6 pack of it a day if I let him. He's also got a couple of Mountain Dew t-shirts.
I don't think drinking almost a case of Mountain Dew in a day is good for you though. It's very bad for your teeth and consuming that much sugar could easily lead to weight gain and diabetes. You're getting headache from coming off the sugar buzz and from caffeine withdrawal. You need to cut back considerably and maybe consider swapping a few of your regular ones for Diet or Caffeine Free.

I'm not going through what ur going through i am totally addicted to mountain dew i really love that stuff i think that is the only soda i drink. i actually collect the cans and stack up like a pyramid right now i have about 150 cans:)

Dew is awesome! I am not that hooked but try the Baja Blast mountain dew available only at Taco Bell! It rocks. We order an extra one or two with no ice and save it for the next day!

The reason you LOVE Mountain Dew so much, have to have it, and get cranky if you don't is because your beloved Mountain Dew has caffeine just like coffee. You know how people who don't have their morning coffee are cranky? You fall into the same category - caffeine deprivation!

my best friend loves diet mountain dew. but not like u.........u are strung out! if u write an email to the company (pepsi makes it i believe) and tell them how much u love mountain dew, they will send u some free stuff and coupons!

One time I drank two cubes (twenty four packs) two two liters and a twenty ounce bottle in one day... The next day I was drinking more even while I was in the bathroom getting rid of the day before's. Is that a good explanation?

I'm not as extreme as you are, but i do love the stuff in all its forms (Regular, Code Red, Amp, etc)
