Sometimes, when I get scared at night, I record myself talking, because hearing my voice played back is kind of comforting.

When I take videos at night, there is always an audible screeching sound in the background of the video. It sounds sort of like a siren, but it it scratchier, and it fluctuates more. My camera is in good shape, and this only appears in videos I take at night. It's starting to freak me out a little. Is there a logical explanation for this?

if you are doing this in a bedroom, then it is the sound of the motors being reflected off a nearby wall or piece of furniture.

the sound of talking does help at night, my solution was to use a tiny radio and turn to some inane talk show that had something "important" to say.
