As a Christian who once was an atheist, I do believe that the path to God is found by following the truth and the evidence.
The Bible is a collection of books that reconcile man to God. It is a way for humans to understand what humans are and why we are the way we are. The Bible helps us to understand the nature of God, and helps us to be closer to Him.
The truth is much stronger than a lie. All teachings whether Christian, Muhammadanism, Buddhism, or Jewish should be tested to a scientific or to a historical certainty. If they fail then that path should be abandoned and another path should be taken.
I say there is only one path, if you do not find it, then you are not looking.

Yes, we definitely should. Our faith is strengthened by approaching scripture with head and heart. We can read scripture and use our intelligence. We have to read the Bible in the light of modern science and modern learnings. We don't live our faith in a vacuum and it's ignorant to try to pretend we can. We don't have to be afraid of questioning or even doubts. In spite of what some people on here accuse, there is such a thing as a sound, reasonable, sane faith.

Thanks. Yes, we can find God through questioning and asking about whatever we want. Meditate, think about it and you'll find the answers within yourself. Some people might call it intuition. I have my intuition and I find out a lot by asking myself. Example: one day, I was praying or meditating, and asking what religion is the right one. A voice came to my mind and answered me: "It is not the religion, but the learning..." I said to myself "that's it".
Peace!

There in lies part of the problem with religion...is that when we are afraid to ask about things we don't understand or find just really out of balance then we become like sheep, lead to the edge of the cliff.....go ahead....jump.

Absolutely.
Blind faith tends to lead to horrors like the Jonestown Massacre and 6000-year Creationism.
Never stop questioning. Never cease learning, investigating and developing yourself.

Yes we absolutely should, and I believe the Bible can and does withstand such scrutiny.
I have chosen to believe it as the continuous story of God's love, and God calling people to follow God's ways.

Yes, it great to ask questions, but most importantly read the Bible for yourself and then pray and ask God help you find Him. The bible says, "He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him."
Great question!
God Bless You!!

Yes, if you actually seek the truth about God with all your heart, look at all the evidence, follow it all through logically, and don't have any bias, you will see that Christianity is the truth.

There is only one true path. That's the belief of that He is. Now how you go about that believing is your own business.

questioning, asking about it...and don't forget studying it.
The key to the bible isn't to take it "literally", it is to accept, on faith, that every word is the truth and then to seek the truth in it. Take your questions to G-d and be open to what he reveals to you, and you will discover more truths every time you read it.
