my desk top keeps vanishing and i cant get to my security center on xp all due to an infection of C:\WINDOWS\system32\co.dll and how does this happen?

Download in another computer and save it in thumb drive,
drweb cureit at ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/cureit.exe.
Boot up ur computer in safe mode, keeping pressing F8 when booting up computer... remove all the infected file.
Download Kaspersky antivirus 7 trial at http://usa.kaspersky.com/downloads/trial-versions.php.
Remove all the infected file.
To prevent future virus, i suggest u install your computer with kaspersky antivirus or nod32 antivirus. Both need to be paid.
Free, but not as good if compare to kaspersky and nod32.
