I am researching designs and saw some cool ones in a book with all brown ink and some all white ink. The brown ones looked like nice detailed henna tattoos and the white ones were barely there but still looked really good. I'm thinking of the all white one because it really did look cool, and it was different and I want the subtleness for now - I can always get it filled in or touched up later.

I have a white tattoo, and I love it, but I'm going to get it redone in black. White tattoos yellow and fade, so they don't look very good for very long.

Find an experienced artist who knows how to work with white pigment. Look at portfolios and ask questions. There are better kinds of higher quality white pigments, & there are certain ways the artist needs to use white so that it will not muddy or turn an off-white or yellowed color. Also make sure you are getting white, and not a UV pigment, because there is a difference. (The artist should know this already.) The end result usually resembles a scar, and may need to be retouched if you would like for it to be brighter.
Ive had an all white tattoo for about 8 years (still white), and have done alot of them.

I have an all-white ink tattoo and I love it. It is more than a year old and I have never regretted it and I still love it and the shock factor it still causes.

If it is something you want, do plenty of research and talk to your local artists to see what they say about doing white ink. I have encountered no problems, and you can still see it very clearly when looking for it, but I am fairly pale.

Honestly, if it is something you want, think about it for a while (I would say about 6 months to a year) so that you can make sure that it is the design/image you want and definitely something you will not get sick o f in a short time.

Good luck.

The black outline ink is deeper than the colour ink which holds the colour in side the tattoo. It stops the colours spreading. So I dont think it will.

My next Tat will be all white I think. The artist who did my last one had one and it looked hella cool.

Go for the all white. I think they look super cool and you're right, you can always add color later if you want.

please don't get a tattoo - they're revolting and trashy. and oh yea, they're permanent. what may be "cool" now will be your worst nightmare in years to come.
