blacklisting certain posters by not answering their questions? Also, do R&S regulars just believe everything they hear through rumor and not take any time to find out for themselves?

No, but now that you mention it, that sounds like a plan!

I never know what's going on....
Why (and more importantly how) would anyone blacklist anyone on a forum such as this??
What is the use of spreading rumours?
Also- if people don't want to answer questions, they don't have to. There isn't any rule that states you have to answer a certain number of questions from every poster is there?
I must have missed that memo...

and "who" are the "Regulars" anyway? There are thousands of people here - some more often then others. Some of them hang out together, but never to the exclusion of all others - that wouldn't make much sense.

but as I said...I never know what's going on so maybe there's something out there that I don't know about. I'm just here to have fun and maybe learn a thing or two.

blessings :)

If you call sifting through hundreds of "less than thought provoking" questions and answering the one or two good ones "blacklisting"...then I think we are all guilty of the crime you described. I tend to answer questions that interest me and give me the least chance of being deleted. I rather star interesting questions because I can dodge the violation notice bullet that way. Sometimes stars are way better than answering a question.

I used to answer 80 questions a day and average between 1,200-1,400 points a week. Now, I only score between 300-400 a week. This place has lost some of its appeal due to abuse.

What's a regular? Seriously, I am a level 5 user. Most my friends hang out here. This is mostly my reason for being here. I've no idea if this question pertains to me, but I've never heard anything about blacklisting.

Many times, we follow starred question. Many times, I don't even look at the board, just my profile, and if somebody stars a question, I will follow it. I'm guessing it's the same for many people here.

Guess how I got to this question?

I think sometimes it depends on who's on when you ask a question, what time of day. I haven't heard of any blacklisting, but I only got a few answers to one of my last questions...now I'm paranoid:p

I often enjoy hearing questions about my religion and like to answer them to the best of my ability. I also enjoy reading and seeing how other religions are doing, but what I refuse to answer is some of these pathetic questions that any person should be above bothering with.

Really? I'm pretty new to the whole Y!A thing. I had no idea it was so full of intrigue. How come I don't hear any rumors?

We want names! Give us names, or be ignored!

As for blocking, it's a great way to clear deleted fans, and oh so many R & S regulars have been deleted...

Uhhhh actually we just deleted your question because it is a clear violation of the the rules of the road.

Nope, I answer when I'm moved to, I have not yet used the block feature, and I am skeptical through and through - with a scientific bent.

My motto...."Just because somebody says something...doesn't mean it's true". Maybe the questions aren't answerable...maybe there's no answer..or maybe they don't know. If I can't give a decent answer to something...I try to leave it alone..for someone who knows more about it than I do.
