I am hosting a dinner party, and I need to know. I was thinking Merlot??

What ever wine you feel like drinking. It's your taste buds you'll excite or offend.

Merlot might not be a bad choice. I guess it might depend on the cereal? lol

I think a Riesling or a White Zinfandel would be better. The Merlot would be too overpowering. Better yet you should serve beer instead.

I find any white that comes in a box will suffice. 3 snakes cooking sherry is always a wonderful addition. Aqua velva is nice but should be served cold rather than room temperature... bon apatite!
One last serving tip..after several drinks you can substitute cat food for liver pate with ritz crackers...my guests have yet to notice...

Jeez, you don't serve wine with that, you serve beer. But if you must have wine, give 'em the cheap stuff so it'll match the rest of the meal. Thunderbird, Mogen David...

I think a strong PORT that way your guest will be so drunk that lucky charms and hot dogs will not only sound good but be good.
