I have persistent, but not terrible or cystic acne, I've tried everything, but now i'm getting resistant to my antibiotics,...I've just started using topical antibiotics...but am always dehydrated...Can you tell me if water plays a big role in curing acne? If so, how? Especially tell me if you've had the same experience.

Our bodies need water to survive. After all our bodies are mostly water anyway!!! When we go to the bathroom, spit, sweat or even eat, we are losing water from our bodies. (eating absorbs fluid in the body/stomach)
So when we lose water, we need to take more water in to replace what we have lost.

Water helps to flush out the impurities in our bodies through the liver and the kidneys. Everything that goes into our bodies goes through our blood stream and thus going to our skin. Water certainly helps to clear up acne. I always drink plenty of water everyday, plus cleanse tone and moisturise 2 times a day and exfoliate every second day. I also give myself a deep cleaning mask specific to my skin type once a week and I have NEVER had a pimple in my life.
Hope this helps and have a great day/night!!!

You should drink enough water to stay hydrated, six or eight glasses a day. Other liquids can also substitute for plain water. Other than that, water helps to clear the impurities out of your body, but it's not necessarily a cure for acne. Soap and water used to cleanse your skin is important. But for a severe case of acne, you need to be under the care of a dermatologist.
