I am a college student working on my Physician Assistant degree and planning on go to medical school(become a doctor). My parents have ask me to get marry over the past 2 years in which it was not successful. This time they actually force me to get marry before I finished my physician assistant degree. Personally, I would like to get marry after I finished my medical school, but they completely disagree....because they believe when I am 28, there would be no more good girls around.....tell me what should I do....

Plenty of good families will be happy to have their 28 year old or younger daughter marry a medical doctor.

Stay focused on your studies.
You would not make a very good husband or father right now.

Is this a cultural issue? Would this be an arranged marriage?
If so, you can kindly and respectfully ask that you wait until you have finished school so you can be a more responsible husband.
If that isn't this issue, then they have no business telling you when to get married!! If they are threatening to pull the funds for tuition, then get a student loan and follow your path as is comfortable for you. There will always be lovely and terrific women out there that would appreciate someone that follows his dreams and respects himself enough not to knuckle under to parental pressure.

Tell them that you will be able to provide a much nicer life for your wife and family AFTER you finish your physician assistant program. So lots of ladies will want you. This will be even greater, with many more ladies, after you finish medical school.

Most parents are urging their children NOT to marry until after they finish their education.

Follow your dreams. There are plenty of good girls out there that are older. In the US people don't get married as young as they used to. You still have time..... Good luck.

(to finish med school first) because it's beter don't you think? i mean okay you get married.... money....work......your wife..making food....and then you totally forget about yourself and its better to finish school first......there is many good girls out there.... you don't have to worry about that.

How can they force you to marry? If you are not ready, then you're not ready. Tell your parents to butt out, that you will get married when the time is right for you.

Only you can know what to do. Listen to your heart and follow it. Be true to yourself because if you aren't then you can not be true to anybody else who comes along.
