I have a 5 moth old puppy. I got her from the pound, and so idk what breed or mix she is. The pound said rottweiler chow mix. I think something else, because she only weighs like 15 - 30 pounds. This is not a picture of her, i will post one of her soon, but this is what she looks like, exept she has cropped ears. But otherwhise this is exactly what she looks like.
The ears are natural cropped. I picked her up when she was only 7 weeks and her ears were down. Then they cropped at 4 monthes, now shes 5 moths.

I dont think that she has chow, because her tongue is NOT black or blue, its normal reddish pinkish.

Her ears stand erect. They were NOT done by a vet. That calls for natural, which means natural Erect.

What about her being an australian Kelpie or Beauceron?

No Chow in that puppy. No Rottie either if the ears are standing straight up. And what is her weight? If 15 pounds at 5 months, she could be a Manchester Terrier cross. If she's 30 lbs, more likely a Dobie cross. She could also be a black and tan coonhound cross. Who knows for sure. She is most likely 4 or 5 or 6 different breeds, and you'll never know for sure what, but does it really matter?

I'd think that there is Rottie and Lab. Both Rotties and Chows have very short blocked muzzles. Labs will have a longer muzzle. If there is a blue/black tongue, that could be in it's ancestry, but it doesn't show any characteristics of being a Chow at all. That ear-cropping didn't sound too great! Rotties have long ears..Chows are upright. The lab is long.

Beauceron - No. Beaucerons are still pretty rare in America, and whoever owns one probably keeps a very close eye on it.
Kelpie - *Maybe*. Kelpies are not as uncommon as Beaucerons, but Kelpies are usually owned by rural, farming folks who have actual jobs for their dogs (sheep herding, for example). Again, the chances of your pup being part Kelpie is pretty low depending on where you live.
At this age, it is too soon to tell, but I say Dobe and Shep mix of some kind. By the way, her weight (15-30) is a very wide range. That means that she would be from about 30-60 lbs as an adult. Do you know her *exact* weight?

Definitely half Rottweiler - the other half looks like any of the
4 below:
Beagle ?
Labrador ?
Coon Hound ?
Now here's a laugh: Chihuahua ?
Is it physically possible for
a Rottweiler & Chihuahua - only because the face of the dog in the picture you gave us and adding cropped ears is EXACTLY the face of my 2 year old black/tan Chihuahua !! And that would explain the smaller weight, 15-30 pounds.
Your puppy must be adorable - I love that black and tan coloring !!

Well she definetly looks like she's got a lot of Rotti in her.
Does she have a black tongue?
That's a trait of a Chow Chow.
The pound never really knows what kind of dogs they have, it's only their best guess. She could have chihuahua in her for all they know. I don't think you'll ever know whats in her unless you find the owner of the mother dog.

She looks like she might have some Doberman, but there could be Kelpie.I don't know about Beauceron,if you're in the US,I don't think they're very common. She's very cute! I'd like to see a pic of her now, that would help, but I certainly don't see any Chow.

Likely Shepherd x Doberman or Shepherd x Rottweiler
What the heck is ' natural cropped ' no such thing... You mean they naturally stood?
Cropped is where the ears are cut by the vet, stitched and you tape them til they stand erect..

That puppy looks like a rottie/shepherd mix. I've seen puppies that look just like that, and were GSD and rottweiler.

I really don't see any chow in her. She looks like she has a labrador's shape with a rottweiler's coloring.
