one hundred% of those taken in UV, Infrared, or different "non-noticeable" quantities of the EM spectrum are, evidently, considering the fact that we would not be in a position to peer the pics. A tremendous majority of the others are as good. Sometimes now not in the best way you assume. If you'll be able to uncover Phil Plait's weblog on CCD imaging, it might keep me plenty of typing and inaccuracies in this discipline. But all virtual images is well-nigh "colour fail" technological know-how. But it is darn near. Filters and more than a few movies will difference the revel in as good. Even with ordinary movie, publicity time makes a change. You can seem on the Orion Nebula all you wish by way of any telescope you wish, and you will not see the reds and blues which can be within the portraits. They quite are there, however your eye can not accumulate ample gentle to seize the colour like an extended publicity snapshot can. Anyone who claims that images are shooting the arena the identical manner that our eyes do, must take extra images categories, or research astronomy for a whilst.

Check at tiffen.com.

Be prepared for strange colors if used with color film and perhaps even with digital cameras. Our brain corrects colors in all types of lighting.

For a good example, take photos under fluorescent light with daylight balanced color film or with your digital camera with the white balance set for daylight. Note the greenish-yellowish cast? Your brain corrected for it and you saw red as red, blue as blue, etc.
