she runs around the house and acts similar to a dog

Doesn't sound like there's anything "wrong" with her, that's just her personality. I have a toy rat terrier that acts very cat-ish -- washes her face and only wants affection on her terms. That's just how she is.

Your cat sounds like he hasn't been neutered. If he's still got his testicles he'll do all that and pretty soon he'll start spraying. He'll spray a bit of urine with his male hormones in it and that smells really rank. You don't say how old he is, but if I'm correct about his not being fixed, it's time to take him to a vet or the local Animal Shelter and get him neutered now. Otherwise, the only option you have is to let him out of the house to find a female. He'll fight with other males, get torn up and maybe pick up feline AIDS or feline leukemia and you'll have to put him down. Hope you can take him to the vet because this is an easily solved problem. Once he's ball-less he won't behave like that.

I had a dog that acted like a cat once. There was nothing wrong with him, he just had a cat-like personality. I assume that your cat is similar, and has a unique personality. You should be happy that you get to share your home with such a special kitty.

Is it a Siamese or mixed Siamese? They usually have more "doggy" traits than other cats. But if your cat was born and raised around dogs, it may just be being a "copycat" and acting the way it thinks it's supposed to.

I have a cat like that. She fetches like a dog, and is very territorial and she chases cats like a dog. I don't think she knows she's a cat. She's very independent and doesn't get along with any of my other cats. When she sees deer in the yard, she growls at them. I keep waiting for her to bark. Every cat is different and you just have to accept them as they are. They accept you that way.

It doesn't sound like anything wrong to me. Certain cat breeds are known to behave more like dogs than cats. We used to have a Siamese that would fetch stuff and bring it back to you, and jump straight up into your arms, while (you are) standing up.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with her hon. My other cat I got from a friend, and he was raised with dogs, and acts just like one! I think it's kinda funny. But when it comes to 'catlike' behavior, just remember that these are domesticated animals that are trained to depend on us. And if you want a 'cat' type cat, look to 'adopt' (financially speaking of course) a tiger at your local zoo.

You're cat's fine hon. Just love her lots.

it's most likely just her personality. if she's always acted that way, then it is.
