Working out will keep you in good physical condition, and help you stay slim, but it won't do much for your height. By staying slim, you will give the illusion of being taller, and there are other fashion tricks to create a taller, slimmer appearance. But working out won't make you either shorter or taller.

If you're short and stubby, and you lose weight, you will tend to look taller, because you will look thinner.
If you're tall and chubby, and you lose weight, you will also tend to look even taller and slimmer.
Most important of all...in both cases you will feel great for losing the weight!!!
