Does anyone have a recipe for this. I have tried various methods and nothing is quite good enough?

FYI, I am referring to the dough not the toppings.

As for the dough, here's the link http://pizza.it/lnk_english_faq_dough.asp
You just need flour, salt, yeast. Some recipe may include something else, but that the basic and most used one.

make a foaccia bread. heres the recipe and its pretty easy to do if you follow it.
616g flour
12g salt
5g yeast
18g honey

420g Honey
28g Olive Oil

5g Italian Seasonings
5g Garlic Powder

mix all ingredients together for five minutes on high speed or until gluten is well formed. get a sheet pan and pour 1/4 cup of oil onto sheet. spread oil and make sure its covering the sides and all of the surface. put dough on sheet and stretch it out onto pan. if it doesnt want to cover the whole sheet. thats fine. make sure both top and bottom of the dough is covered in oil. This is a very sticky dough so i cant stress that enough
poke your fingers into the dough "docking" it. then set aside.
let sit for an hour then stretch it out to cover the entire pan. dock it again. sprinkle kosher salt on top and let rise for 30 min.
put in the oven at 350F for twenty minutes or until it looks done.
let sit for 20 mins after pulling out of the oven. after this you can slice it horizontally and toast. then put your piizza toppings on top and bake again at 350 for 5 to 10 min.
I own a bakery so i promise you i know from experience if you do this right it is a very good recipe, and great for other things too like pizza sticks or just bread sticks with your spaghetti.

This is the quickest, easiest recipe (instant dough, no fermenting needed) and it makes the most delicious and healthy pizza I've ever tasted.

Ingredients:
1 packet (0.25 oz) fleishmann's dry active yeast
1/4 tsp sugar
3/4 cup warm water
1+3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 can tomato paste/puree salt, basil, oregano, garlic powder
1/2 tsp olive/canola oil
1/4 cup low fat pizza (mozz) cheese shredded
toppings: any: tomatoes, olives, jalapeneo, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, cashews, garlic, pineapple, etc.
red chilli flakes

Add 1 packet (0.25oz) fleischmann's yeast and 1/4 tsp sugar into 3/4 cup warm water. Mix and let it stand for 8 minutes. In the mean while, take a large bowl and add 1+3/4 cup all purpose flour and 1/2 tsp salt and mix. preheat the oven to 375-400 degrees.

Make sauce while yeast rises.
For sauce: mix 1/2 can tomato paste with 1/2 tsp salt, pinch of garlic powder, sprinkle of oregano and basil and 1/2 tsp of olive/canola oil. add a pinch of splenda/sugar. microwave it/warm it for 1-2 minutes. stir. (you can use pesto if you like instead of tomato sauce)

Now add the yeast solution to the dough and knead firmly for 2-3 minutes. now flatten the dough with a hand or rolling pin on a plain floured surface (may be tough but press hard). press and roll firmly to make it into a 12"circular base. (make thin crust or thick crust with
thicker margins...I like thin crust) Place it on a lightly oil greased baking dish before adding toppings.

now top it with your fav toppings (slices of tomatoes, peppers, jalapeno, olives, mushrooms, pineapple, garlic, cashews, onions etc...) then add 1/4 cup low fat/skim shredded pizza cheese (I use "three cheese" from kraft) on top. bake on 375 degrees for 15 minutes (thin crust pizza) or more for a thick crust.

top it with chilli flakes and fresh basil and enjoy!

time: 30 minutes
can bake 2-3 at a time.

well a good marinara sauce would be good. Take parsley, onions, celery, garlic and carrots and puree it in a blender or food processor. Then saute/cook until juices are almost dry, add crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, thyme, salt and black pepper.

Or I happen to like a fresh basil pesto, take fresh basil, olive oil (just a little)parsley (flat leaf best) garlic, parmesian(fresh not canned) and salt and black pepper and "whiz" in a food processor or blender till smooth.
OOOHHHH I am hungry for a good pizza now!! Add fresh mozzarella (yum!) fresh tomatoes, hmmmm, thanks! gotta go make a pizza now!
