does meditating automatically mean you become psychic, like having telepathy and other gifts/talents.

i don't want to learn how to meditate or anything, but it's mainly because i'm afraid i will become psychic, and start randomly sending thoughts to people.

and i suffer with depression and some other issues, so i have some horrible thoughts sometimes, even though i don't mean to, so naturally i wouldnt want my friends or family knowing about them. :(

Being psychic is a gift, it has nothing to do with meditating or vice versa. You cannot send out thoughts just by meditating. Meditating is just for relaxation and reflection. It is really good for you mind, body, and spirit. So do the meditating, it might even help you with your depression and stuff, but don't worry about becoming psychic from it or sending out bad thoughts. There are only very very few people that are truly psychic and none that can read minds. No one on earth can read minds or thoughts.

Hello. I am a Professional Massage Therapist! Meditating is very important. I was also depressed before I started doing it and had anxiety and my palms would sweat so bad it was gross! The first thing that happens when you go to a massage school is they teach you how to relax. They did that by making us meditate. It helps so much! Ii am always mostly at total peace.
As far as the psychic thing goes it's on a whole different level than that! Some people say that its the same thing and its not. The reason for them saying this is that when you meditate and do it for a while your mind and body becomes totally calmer so your ways of thinking may change or the way you walk or talk. And your senses of hearing and seeing may increase. Good luck!

meditating is generally used by certain cultures as a way of relaxation and deep thinking. It's supposed to calm you. You won't become psychic by meditation, and no one will be able to read your thoughts. Psychics are usually born that way, and consider it to be a special gift. They are good at predicting things, or knowing ahead of time certain things that are going to happen. I seriously doubt if there are such things as mind readers. If you know a person intimately, all his or her habits, you can usually predict what they are going to say or do, but you can't "read" their thoughts. So don't worry about that. Meditating does not mean you become psychic. It just connects you with yourself, so to speak, and helps you to be calm and relaxed.

Meditating has nothing to do with becoming psychic or having mental telepathy. You cannot send random thoughts to people by meditating. Are you taking medication for your symptoms? Talk to your therapist about your thoughts. Your therapist can't read your mind either.

Meditating will not make you become psychic. It may actually be a good way for you to cope with your depression. It is an excellent form of relaxation.

I use the psychic mediation as the other kind is just a dulling trance. I always ask a question that can be answered simply yes or no. If you do this you will gain insight and strength in thought. You need to guess where the answers come from.

Meditating and becoming psychic are not related.

The psychic thing is different. Meditation is going inside yourself, not sending signals out to others. If you figure out how to do that make the president get out of Iraq please.
