In my dorm right now absolutely everyone seems to have their sound systems at max volume. I dont know what the hell is happening but its like international "lose your hearing, get a cookie" day.

Of course I am winning, working at BestBuy has its perks (like 1000 watt speaker systems from Klispch). But still, Im standing outside posting this from my Blackberry and I think its too loud out here.

To Jeff: oh studying gets done, just not tonight. Its been what an hour since I posted this? Its still going on. At least most people seem to have agreed on one song (Kanye West's "Good Life").

I actually own the Klipsch F-3 7.1 Synergy Series and most of the time keeping the volume level pretty low gives you just as much detail as cranking it, especially with the way Klipsch employs their horn technology. Ironically im listening to Kanye West too! Except its "Cant tell me Nothing"

Hi.Jake. Unfortunately most people who have a Home Theater Set up with a Subwoofer[s] try to get the sound the same as they hear in the Cinema. They do not understand the laws of Acoustics. In my opinion Subwoofers should have never been part of a Surround Sound System. Most rooms are too small for the very low notes of a Subwoofer to develop properly. I could explain why but it would be too long to post here. They have no respect for other people who may be subjected to all the noise. They should install soundproofing so that no matter how loud it is it won't disturb anyone else, but they don't like spending a considerable amount of money to have it installed,They would rather spend more money on equipment that goes louder than what they already have.

Oops, i think by the "thumbs down" i must have offended someone. No matter what you say in Home Theater someone always disagrees with you ,even if you know you are right!

Back in the days I used Cerwin Vegas with Kenwood amps. Right now, Klipsch would be my choice. RF83's and a nice Rotel amp/preamp combo would probably do the trick. Good luck with those ears. LOL!

I see no one gets much studying done. that's retarded, I build custom ubber high end systems and never have it above 80 db anymore. I cringe every time I finish an installation the first thing a customer does is crank it.
