i have a tendency to daydream alot. no matter what im doing my mind keeps drifting off into dreamland, i usually daydream about things i really want to happen. i know that daydreaming is a sign of creativity, but all this does is make me get my hopes up too high and end up dissapointed, yes, there are a couple of goals that i want to meet that i daydream about, but they are too long term. i need someway to keep from getting distracted. and no, i cant take any medicine for it.

If you don't want to take medicine for it then you shouldn't have to no matter what anyone tells you.

I have the same problem too. There is this book called "Day dreaming" by F. Diane Barth. She has a solution/plan that might help you. She also explains in depth possible reasons as to why people do it or how some people do it and not even realize it.

There's just too much to this issue that I can't possibly explain to you in this reply. I know too well how big of a problem this is for me. I can't seem to focus on anything or go without my "dreams" for even a short amount of time. It drives me nuts. I keep a journal as to what provokes me and what I dream about to find a way to minimize it. It's scary how complex of a problem this is. It's funny though, I notice that anytime I am stressed it doesn't happen.

Daydreaming is common for people. If you want to get some use out of them, then start writing things down about them and if it is something that you think you might want to do, look at writing up a plan as to how to get there.

do you ever feel like the daydreams are more real than your life, or if you let your mind go you would end up never coming back from the dream? if so it is a serious problem and you should get help, but if not, don't worry, life will kill your dreams soon enough so enjoy them while you can...

i do no longer think of it truly is a concern, greater of a recent. It purely desires to be tuned and subtle so it does no longer intrude once you are able to desire to be "in-the-now". I propose incorporating daily meditation into your ordinary. yet another decision would be to income astral projection and lucid dreaming concepts, they seem to be a proper thank you to nurture your imaginitive nature, and supply you a place the place you ought to use your stable visualization concepts to added your self-strengthen and discovery. back, your lively mind's eye is a recent, no longer a concern :)
