I had a baby 4 months ago. I gained 45 lbs and lost 25 in the first month and now I have not lost any weight in 3 months. I am nursing. I exercise 3 days a week (walking or a class). I also am starving all the time.

I think that even the best slimming professionals will tel you that weight loss will always vary betwn each individual. So i think you will still have to stick to regular excercising, and a slow jog would do much better than just walking. Most importantly though, DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF !!!!!! Prenancy and childbirth is very taxing for the body. Please do not think that jus cos you are done giving birth , you can do wateva you want with your body. Pregcy and childbirth depletes and exhausts your body and if you do not take good care of it at least for the first half year, then you will be feeling the impact later in your aging years. Take more tonic foods, and make sure you EAT! Plenty of nutrients is wat you nee rite now. You can take very small portions & more meals or you can take regular and lessen your normal meal consumption.
Good Luck

It's so challenging getting that weight off, I know, I have 4! With two of them I just didn't care about my weight, but now I do :) Cut out all sugar and junk, if it's not from mother earth, don't eat it because it's processed. Drink a lot of water. Also, eat when your hungry, only eat well, lots of veggies and good proteins. Don't eat late and when nursing don't count calories! This is huge! You need to eat when hungry it just WHAT you eat that's important. It may take you a few months to lose or up to 2 years. My little guy is turning 3 this month and I'm finally free of the baby weight. It just takes time! Keep up the great work and congrats on your little one.

Everyone is so different. I went to visit a friend a week after she had her baby. She was already back in her jeans! ugghhh! I gained 35 lbs - lost about half of that within the first month but hung onto the last half for almost a year. I actually lost weight after I stopped breastfeeding (a lot of people gain weight when they stop breastfeeding). So who know? I know for me it had to do with what I was eating. I was really sick when I was pregnant and tended to only hold down certain food. When I stopped being pregnant I continued to eat those favored food (french fries, chocolate, etc).

your problem is your starving. when you dont have enough food and nutriants your body will NOT let go of fat. it does this to stay alive. eat small meals every 3 hours. around 300 calories should be good. eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies. eat lean meats. drink lots of water. avoid simple carbs, that means no soda, juice ,etc. avoid pasta , bread and dairy. if you follow this you will lose 20 lbs a month and you will never feel hungry or tired. remember you have to stay at a certian weight for at least 3 months for your body to except it. your body has to get used to being a certian size. so if you lose 30 pounds , you have to keep it off for at least 3 months so your body excepts this as your new size. this is because of homeostasis.
