How do you feel when you see other christians calling atheists or non-christians
"morons," "satan-worshippers," and "miserable people"
who are going to hell because they rejected god?
(and these are the nice insults that I've read in the past hour! I'm sure you see the rest if you read most of the questions...)
How about the ones who flat out say they hate jews, muslims, atheists, or homosexuals?

Thank you. I know many christians who are wonderful people in real life, and it scares me that there are so many people out there that are full of hatred. I just needed a reminder that the majority of people are still sane, kind at heart, and even though we may vehemently disagree on religion-people that will still treat each other with respect and love.

simple answer: they are not being "Christ-like". that is the definition of being a christian. Jesus would have done no such thing. He still doesn't. so nor should people.

Okay, I'm not a Christian, I'm Wiccan. I have had 'Christians' on here tell me I will burn in hell because I worship the devil, and I deserve what I get...etc. Over and over and over.
I know that there are good Christians. My Grandfather was THE most Christian man you would have ever met. He was kind to EVERYONE, no matter what. He did charity work. He worked with handicapped children most of his life and once he retired he started an 'Old Mill Shop' that was full of old furniture. If he saw someone in need he would sell them an antique for like ten or twenty dollars depending on what they could afford, or just flat out give it to them. He went to church every Sunday, where he was a deacon. He would be ashamed by what some people say on here and then try to say that they are Christian.
I know it makes me ultra defensive, at times. I know it's NOT all of you but, on here it seems to be a majority. So if I say something to offend I'm sorry, I'm usually saying it 'tongue-in-cheek'.

I hope that the intelligent atheists and non-Christians in Y!A realize that these people are not a proper representation of a Christian, and I think for the most part that they do understand that. It is, as has been said earlier, an immaturity issue in most cases. Not to label any particular poster, simply because I honestly don't have one in mind and really wouldn't call them out if I did, but it wouldn't surprise me if a few "Christians" actually were something else trying to make us look bad. OK, I'm a bit of a cynic as well.
Same answer for those that say they "hate" whomever.
Not everyone who sits in a church pew every Sunday morning will be enjoying eternity.

True Christians should love one another, John 13:3.
1 John 4:20"If anyone make a statement:I Iove God, and yet is hating his brother, he is liar. For he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen cannot be loving God, whom he does not seen".And the greatest commandment is Love God Jehovah with all your heart and mind and soul and love your nieghbors same or not same religion you have to respect and show love!

The message of the gospel is simple, understand that because of sin,we are under a curse. God has provided a way of escape from the curse through the sacrifice of Himself,on the cross...receive by grace though faith,
the attonement provided,by Jesus Christ, repent of all known sin accept Jesus as your personal savior. Begin life anew,in Him...Remarks regarding race or ethnic group or psychoanalysis of one's mental state is not protocol..The message of the Cross alone is offensive enough, "to some".
I will leave you with this additional thought.
If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. 1 John 4:20

About the same as when I hear an atheist call a Christian ignorant, closed-minded, hater, brain-dead, stupid, robots, judgmental...People should be judging each other like that.
But they are on both sides. Look at every single question by photografr7 again

Makes me angry...perhaps not unlike how Jesus got angry at the money changers in the temple. IMHO, this kind of thing is the worst form of "identity theft"...they are stealing the identity of God and misrepresenting his message. Thankfully, I believe that God will judge every person according to their works and people that spread hate in the name of Christ will pay for every unkind word.
Hate is, quite simply, inconsistent with the love and light of God. "...if a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" Why take the word of a liar when they claim to be something they so obviously aren't?

Spiritual maturity takes time. Here are some children too. And all the Christians here are not Christians in real life. They act Christians to make them look bad.

Dont get so flustered.
If they say those kinds of things, they are not Christians.
Remember Jesus talked about wolves in sheep's clothing.
He also said that not everyone who calls Him Lord is His.
He says that he does not know them.
You do what is right, and pray for those that dont.
Theirs is a worse end than those that are ignorant.

There are just as many immature Christians out there in the world as there are immature atheists lol.
I don't feel a thing, I understand immaturity when I see it.
