Afraid of dying… Well, yes. I am afraid of dying, I’m afraid of how it will feel. Will it be painful? Will I have time to think about everything in my life, or will I go quickly? Dying is scary, to everyone, I think. But… being dead doesn’t scare me at all. You know, while the whole process of actually dying scares me quite a bit, being dead seems like it would be peaceful… Of course, I’m only fourteen, so that might just be that ‘false sense of teenage invincibility’ talking.

About my beliefs… Well, I always joke around about how, with the way I’m living in debauched heresy (note the sarcasm) I’ll probably go to some proverbial hell. But… I don’t think I’m all that bad. I’ll be the first to say that I’m far from religious (why does religion always come up when anyone asks about death?) and that I’ve been known to be pretty… well, mean, to the people I care about most (two words; Anger. Issues.) but, with the way I am, I think I’ll go to some kind of limbo. Where there is no pain, only sadness… Well, that is the way I’ve heard limbo described.

I don’t know where I am going, I like to think of a peaceful place where my anger and sadness and easily-provoked nature will just go away… But, just thinking about it gets me nowhere. And, like my father once said, “You can go to a dreamland where all your problems just go away, you know. But, you also must know that doing so is a kind of cop-out. The hard way is to stay, and deal with the pain, misery, and anger that comes with being human, work on your problems, your issues and hope that the good times make all the bad ones worth it.”

Whoa… Sorry about that trip down memory-lane. It sorta ran away with me… I’ll… just end this. Hope it wasn’t too much of a bore to read.

Hmm… I need an ending, some sort of line to close this with… Can’t think of one. Darn.

Working in a nursing facility for 7 yrs has taught me that death is not a fearsome experience.

I believe in reincarnation. That sometimes we are brought back into another life to resolve issues that otherwise wouldn't be. I also believe that once you've done as you should have your soul does pass on and you go to a place you find restful. I also think we have the ability to see what is still going on in the rest of the world and that is why we have spirits or "ghosts".

I'm not ready to let go right now. I have no big regrets on what I have done. I do wonder if the process of dying can be okay, though when I worked in Hospice, it seemed to me that people died very comfortably. That is they way I would hope it would go for me. As to what is after that, I have no idea, and I don't think anyone else really knows either.

Hi Sweetie,
No I'm Not afraid of dying on the contrary I look forward to it. Here is Hell, Heaven is Home & strongly believe in the Prayer:
Dear Lord, Ya though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no Evil for Thow Art with me. Thy Rod & Thy Staff shall comfort me, They maketh me to lie down in Green Pastures,They leadeth me to Still Waters. Thy Sword & Staff shall Comfort me all the rest of my days & I Shall Dwell in the Life of The Lord Forever! Amen!

No, I'm not afraid. Death sorta reminds me of sleeping, and I love to sleep!! I'm hoping I'll go to Heaven, but you never know. Anything after death is fine with me, as long as I'm not reincarnated into something lame like a frog or butterfly.

no i'm not afraid, though i have to admit that i would rather die
peacefully in my sleep as apposed to being murdered or in a fire. beliefs are up to the individual, it is up to them to find there path, and not to them to push their way upon others.
i feel that what ever makes you feel comfortable when you pass on to the big unknown, then it is o.k. i just wish they would send a postcard or something to let us know what to expect, if anything.

i assume that you are young.? as you age and mature it becomes easier to accept. as for where I'm going? i don't know. I'm not religious but i have a conscious. i don't do anything that i will feel bad about. if that's not good enough for god then I'm lost. if you have a good heart i think a person is fine. if death is like before i was born.(nothingness) that would suite me fine.

When I die, and they lay me to rest,
I'm gonna go to the place that's the best.
