So far I have...

1. Is it spayed?
2. Is it up to date with it's shots?
3. Is it house/crate train?
4. Is it good with other dog/children?
5. Currently, what kind of food does it eat?
6. Why are you giving it up?

1, 2, 3, and 6 are the most important questions you should be asking. Especially training! Make sure the people gave the dog a good home and treated her well! A difficult "childhood" can have lasting bad effects on an otherwise good dog.

Huskies are extremely stubborn and difficult dogs to train for most people. Being a sled dog they seem to respond better by watching another adult then actual human training. They are really a dog that needs a professional trainer.

It seems that it was an accident - the husky is upset as you are. You MUST give a husky a backyard though. They are big dogs and need lots of room to run around to let energy off. It may be best to rehome the dog, at least for now, preferrably with people who have older children, just for safety's sake. I dont think you need to put down the dog, unless you find no other option.

Because that is a BIG dog, it is also very important that you ask "is he trained to walk on a leash" because if a dog has not been properly trained with commands like "stay" and "stop" when walking, the dog will chase cars and run after squirrels and will be walking YOU!
