Use as little as possible, it makes the dye stronger. and be very very careful where it touches, my friend did that recently, and shes had blue blotches all over her neck and ears ever since.

This is a new one on me! Do you mean you are taking the dye out of your hair with jello? Or are you using the jello to put the dye in your hair? I really don't know the answer to this question. But I can tell you right now I have dyed my hair over and over and never used jello. Why not dye your hair and eat the jello!

Lol. Is this for a come as an edible food party?
Jello will really make your hair look very unwashed and gunky because the gelatin will dry up and be a mess. Heaven help you if you sweat too. You will have blue or purple rivulets down your face. It will be hilarious.
Put only a half cup of boiling water or just a little less than that to dissolve the gello crystals. You have to smear it all over your hair while hot, just dont get scalded.

Ummm, what did you say you are using? Jello? Aren't the colors of Jello like "fruity" colors? I guess if you want to try it - go for it - but yeah, use less water, or if it is beause you want something fun just buy some spray on hair color from the local store - they wash out and would be much nicer than having sugary jello on your hair!!

no.. way less water. add enough to make it into a runny paste... the food colouring in jello needs to be concentrated for it to take any effect at all on hair.... you'd have better luck with kool-aid *the small packs with no sugar in them yet*.. use gloves cause your hands will stain...
if your hair is really light blonde you'll see some effect but not many people have success with jello as hair dye....
anyways... have fun ;)

Jell-O Hmmmmm that's a new one, but contains sugar....back in my days which was about 10 years ago...i would use Kool-Aid (no sugar added) and I would get the packet and make it into a paste using about 2 tbs of water and mix it till it got thick and pastey then would apply it to my hair by sections and use foil to cover it up and blow dry it so the color can pretty much burn the color into your hair...i had great results with Kool-Aid and not to mention your hair would smell great! It usually lasted for about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. You might wanna try Kool-Aid and not Jell-O

Probably not, less water would make the color more potent, but I would suggest kool*aid. I've never heard of anyone using JELL-O actually
