My mom's homemade mashed potatoes!

Take 6 - 8 medium sized potatoes, peel and cube, then place in large pot. Add a sprinkle of salt, garlic powder & fresh ground pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer & cook til fork tender. Drain well, then place back into pot. Add 1/2 stick of butter & a couple of splashes of milk, then mash w/hand masher or cream with mixer. Place in serving bowl & top with a good size pat of butter and fresh ground pepper. Yummy!

Either fish, beef or pork with rice. If ever I take vegetables during lunch time it's for health reasons only but never have I liked them.
