my friend continues to see the numbers 666 in some way shape or form and hes becoming superstitious and paranoid. what does it mean???

Most people fear the number because of it's use in the bible, truth is in the Hebrew alphabet, numbers are attached to each letter. With that in mind, 666 spells out Nero. Nero was a tyrant when 'revelations' was written, anyone who spoke out against him would be killed, so 666 became code for Nero, who was basically a monster of a human. I can see how over the ages it has been pegged with a bad reputation.......but.....
If you take the number 666 'out of the bible' you have a number that speaks of a time important choices.
A time where one needs to admire the beauty that is around them, the beauty in others as well as give love and kindness.

That is one number i can relate to every waking day of my
life and it has never done me any harm and i am definately not paranoid,my best friends callsign on the UHF/ HF & CB
is The Unit 666 & mine is 666 International,so whats to worry about !!

666 is just a number of a man, ( THE BEAST ) nothing mystical about this number, most people don't even believe in this number, just for the fact that they say there is no GOD. if you believe in GOD I am not talking to you, just the unsaved. and if your friend is a saved person, and seeing this number he shouldn't become paranoid or nothing he should already know what is written in the book ( THE BIBLE )

He sees it becauses he looks for it. There is nothing fearful about the number 666, or even about the number 616. Both numbers, ALL numbers, were created by GOD. All of God's creation is good.
Tell him to fixate on something else.

It means he is fixated on the number so naturally he is going to see it everywhere. When you become fixated on something your mind filters other things out and you see that thing all the time. It's just his mind playing tricks on him
