After I had my daughter I had 80 pounds (yes 80) to lose. The thing that kept me going was just once I started losing I was really motivated to keep going, I also felt a lot better exercising and eating well. This sounds corny, but there is a saying that says "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels" Whenever I was dying for cheesecake or something I thought of this. Good luck, you can do it.

I, personally am very petite but if i was heavy set i'd think of the health issues that come with being over weight and the years i can add to my life by getting fit. Just thinkof how cute you'll look in the two piece bating suit you always wanted. My best friend was HUGE. now she's smaller than a stick and she did it the healthy way. It took two whole years for her to go from a 12 to a 5 in bottom and a samll in tees. so good luck. hope this helps.

Yeah what the other people said but another good way is when you start, do it gradually, so don't go on a hardcore diet straight out. Gradually cut out say soft drink then in the next couple of weeks cut down on take away etc. I did that in July and those changes have become permanent and I have lost 5-6 kg and 6cm off my hips.

I wouldn't say size 12 is huge.... well in Australia it's not.

when we are noticing the loss,.. it helps motivate. Yet it takes a couple weeks to get going sometimes,.. So,.. Set a limit. Tell yourself that you are only making "yourself" do this fo ONE month! Mark each day offf the calendar Keep the calendar displayed where you see it!) Then, watch your portions, drink plenty of water, walk or excercise in some way and in one month,.. Quit!

The thing is, after one month,.. if no results,.. you deserve to quit! The thing is,.. thats all you need to get truly determined! Good Luck!

I lost about 40 lbs. one summer 11 years ago...

...I simply thought about how many chicks I could get if I was thinner. After 2 or 3 weeks, I started to see a difference, felt good, and kept on goin'...oh, and I did have better luck with the ladies.
