But that would leave out the non-religious, non-atheist spiritual questions.

:) You mean we all need separate rooms so we are only talking to ourselves?

I think it would just escalate the hostility of some and deprive the non fundamentalists of each other. The evangelists won't respect boundaries any more then they respect diverse opinions now. The christians would argue even more which of them are real or are right. The sunni and shiites might do the same. The atheists and agnostics might quibble. And as a member of the HUGE "Other" - I want my own pagan forum! lol except - I don't.

Besides there are PLENTY of just-us religious forums out there. Yahoo doesn't need to duplicate them.

Sure. But I wouldn't be in the atheist sub like I should be. I'd probably be roaming the Judeo-Christian sub.

Plus, if we were split up like that, us atheists wouldn't drink nearly as much.

Yeah but I would like to see more sub categories with the major Christian Religions- like Catholic, LDS, baptist, Protestant, etc.. Judaism needs it's own category too. And then categories for other major religions not mentioned here. I like to answer questions about my faith, it would be nice to have our own category so that I can easily find the questions.

I'm sure the crossovers would continue - so the net effect would be to make everyone click one more time, to get into a sub-category. Who needs that?

I think there is a lot of love in this category, even among all the crap that gets put on here. Would you be surprised to learn that this is the real reason why a lot of people are really on here, because there is love in R&S?

As merely a YQA RS member those look good. But I think R&S should be organized in whatever way the owners of the site think best.

Absolutely not! Sometimes we can actually get thought provoking questions that cross religious lines in the category as it is... despite the fighting that often occurs.....

I guess but I'm sure people will still enter a category they're not of just to bash it or maybe just maybe, if possible, to learn from it

That wouldn't be any fun! We're here to learn from each other. Unfortunately there are a lot of disrespectful people. If we could get rid of that component, we'd be in business.
