This morning, I woke up and she started SCREAMING at me about her friend's daughter about getting a 2360/2400 on her SAT. and I was going out the same day, until she CUT my curfew into HALF and now I have to come back by 3 PM. I'm So MAD - it's a three day weekend and I CANT GO OUT for long and I haven't gone out in 2 months. I feel like i'm in jail..

Whenever I try to rebel, it makes things worse.

You might ask your Mom how she expects
you to learn to handle yourself when you go
off to college if she won't let you learn while
you're at home and can rely on her advice.

Put a positive 'spin` on it. Maybe she'll see
the point.
(Congratulations on doing so well so far!)

oh, then, don't rebel; do just the opposite and politely comply.

Your mother knows what happens when kids hormones begin acting up. They don't effect grades, but they do effect sexual activity. She can't be with you to make sure you don;t get hurt, and she is being overprotective. you have to honor that, and by doing so, she will see that you are getting more responsible.Understand that she is AFRAID for you and of what can happen to you; you are HIGHLY vulnerable at 16.
