you have to have medically prescribed drugs to cure a urinary tract infection. It depends upon your age as to whether you need permission from your parents to see the doctor. You can call the doctor's office and ask. If not you must tell your parents. If you don't get medical treatment this could go into your kidneys and become a life threatening illness. See a medical doctor as soon as possible.

Start drinking lots of cranberry juice as this helps cut the uric Acid from the infection.

Your parents should not get upset with you. UTI's happen to some people more frequently than others. Go to the doctor. In the meantime you can drink lots of water and cranberry juice. You can also buy an over the counter medication that will reduce the burning sensation such as AZO or Uristat. You really need to go the doctor though. If you are embarrassed to see your family doctor or your parents won't let you, try calling your local Planned Parenthood and see if they can help you. They are suppose to be confidential and maybe able to help you even if this problem is not sexually related.

No, you don't need permission to see a doctor, but most won't see you unless you are with a parent if you're not under 18. This is due to their malpractice insurance, and to help them from getting sued. But your parents will get a bill, so they'll know that you went at some point. My sister was getting UTI's all the time, and she takes a prescription medication and hasn't gotten one in over 6 months. You should really talk to your family doctor about your constant UTI's. In the mean time, drink cranberry juice, walk (but not if it hurts to walk) and pee as often as you need to, don't hold it in!

Awww, sorry to hear that. Try cranberry juice or just drinking lots of fluids.
You don't necessarily need your parents permission to go to the doctor, but if you are under 18 the doctor can't prescribe medicine for you without your parents consent. Your parents should take care of you!
Hope you feel better soon : )

Yes, you need parental permission to get treatment if you are under 18. You can buy some cranberry juice at the grocery store and/or 7-11 and drink it. Drug stores also have tablets if you can't stand the taste of the juice (it's a bit tart). A doctor needs to find out why you're getting recurring infections.

Your parents shouldn't get frustrated with you. It's their responsibility to see that you get medical treatment when needed. It's a painful malady, I would think at least your mother would be sympathetic.

I believe you do, Really the only thing besides antibiotics that will help is LOTS AND LOTS of fluids, cranberry juice is key! water is also a very good one.

I would suggest going to the DR. tho, your parents may get frustrated but they need to take care of you, if you let it go it can turn into a kidney infection and cause serious problems and you may end up in the hospital! wave that one past them

Dr. bill vs Hospital bill! TRUST me the Dr bill Will be less and keep you from getting worse!

no u dont need permission from your parents to see a doctor about something minor like this
I get Urinary tract infections every 6 months its terrible and the pain just kills me, i have bad kidneys so they dont work 100% like everyones elses do to clean there systems hehe

drink plenty of water, and when i mean plenty, Just drink as much as u can possibly stand before you feel like your gunna throw up, and keep drinking...
a urinary tract infection will come back if not treated by antibiotics so my advice to you would be call a doctor

how it starts is from a bacteria that lives around the anus, everyone has it and its not cureable, everytime we do any bowl action and wipe ourself it gets moved to the vagina or penis, males dont get them as bad as the penis is a lot further away, Lucky Them

well good luck and i know exactly how you feel, if it gets bad enough they will put you in hospital on a drip to flush your system so get straight into that water and call your doctor ASAP

You do need permission from your parents if you are under 18. If you drink cranberry juice it will help, but you will probably need an antibiotic because it is an infection. If you are sexually active, then make sure that you are urinating before and after you have sex.
