No you are required to pay Virginia State Tax.

New York State income tax may very well be withheld from your paycheck. After the end of the year, file a tax return to New York State as a non-resident. You should get most, if not all, of those taxes back. Any taxes you do pay would likely be deductible on your Virginia tax return.

If you don't physically work in NY, then no, but you'd pay VA state tax.
